In our 'Girl Crush' series, women with mutual admiration for one another get together for conversations that offer illuminating looks into what it's like to be a woman right now.

When we look back at this moment as a period in time when women started talking about feminism and identifying as feminists with a passion not seen for many years, some of the high watermarks in this fourth-wave resurgence will be Beyoncé's 2014 VMAs performance, Malala Yousafzai's Nobel Peace Prize acceptance and, of course, Emma Watson's stirring speech at the United Nations. Emma's moving words and her work...

The rapper Kid Cudi wrote a song about Emma, called 'Young Lady'.

The lyrics:

In my head your smile appears clear
Wish it wasn't my imagination
But in a way was a dream
Your eyes they tell it all, called it
Hope u got a good heart,
And you're smart
You got a good head on your shoulders
That's what turns a nigga on, strong
Feelings that I have you'll probably never
Find out ever
I'll admire from afar, star
Keep doing all the great things you're doing
You got it going on, young lady

Jesus Christ, girl!
You got it goin' on, young lady
[x4]

How'd u get so fuckin' cool?
Fools probably trying to spit at...

Dear Readers,

As part of my work with UN Women, I have started reading as many boeken and essays about equality as I can get my hands on. There is so much amazing stuff out there! Funny, inspiring, sad, thought-provoking, empowering! I’ve been discovering so much that, at times, I’ve felt like my head was about to explode…...

“It’s exciting, we’re into our first maand of shooting. It’s just been every day, to be on these huge sets that represent the Beasts castle, to see these musical numbers, we’re all pinching ourselves. It’s just been a very exciting, very kind of realistic telling of that story.” He zei about Emma, “Oh my God, I think she’s going to blow everybody away. We’ve already done two of her musical numbers. She’s a beautiful singer, a wonderful dancer. She’s become one for this movie, she’s just one of the hardest working people I’ve ever met, and she’s really doing a beautiful job so far.”

Emma Watson is just so cute. She's got that little face and that artfully messy hair, and she's wearing the sweetest white summer dress you've ever seen. But when she starts speaking over breakfast at the Carlyle hotel in New York City, it becomes very clear that our old friend Hermione is anything but childish. Watson is smart and funny and passionate about becoming an actress with a capital A. Her first starring role after Harry Potter, as a wild child in this month's teen drama The Perks of Being a Wallflower, was a conscious break from her wizard alter ego; at the same time, she's becoming...

I didn't know what to expect when I started this Book Club. To have 100k members in less than a maand is amazing and for this I am so grateful but even meer amazing is the level at which I see these topics being engaged with and discussed and how generous people are being with their responses and insights into the material. This is what is meaningful to me. Then meer recently to look on Instagram and literally see people from all over the world coming together to discuss these issues in groups, over Skype, in person, mothers and daughters, friends, selfies, pictures of cats and dogs...

Emma Watson stars in The Bling Ring! Isn't she hot!
Emma Watson is the face that has launched at least a half-dozen magazine covers so far this summer tied to her racy new movie “The Bling Ring.” And, to think, Emma considered bagging acting after her 10-year run in the Harry Potter movies.
Watson’s string of covers, however, certifies her as an international superstar.
“The Bling Ring,” about a group of suburban Los Angeles high school kids who burglarized the homes of celebrities, is Watson’s sexiest role yet.

For the former squeaky clean “Harry Potter” star, the film is as much of a departure from her child acting career as “Spring Breakers” was for former Disney teen queen Selena Gomez.

Last summer, over thee for two in a London hotel — because that, readers, is how we rock 'n' roll — we began a conversation about women and men, our differences and similarities, what unites us and what divides us. We talked about vrienden and families, about situations at work and at home, and about how fevered and fraught the debate around gender equality has become.

It is, of course, one of the great conversations a woman and a man can have — well, OK, maybe not, but it beats the old do-you-come-here-often? routine — and we've been having it, in one form of another, since we were...
