I really didn´t understand this in the book. When Penn gives her the archives of Daniel the first time it says that he is orphan, but when she talks him , he denied. Are the archives lying?

no, the way i understand it, daniel isn't aging so his family is probably all dead

Daniel is a fallen angel and i don't think he has biological parents but i do believe angels have their own clans maybe that's what he meant.
