Anybody else want to start a protest to change the format of Fanpop back?

I for one, actually like the design. It is confusing and a bit hard to find stuff, but it's nicer, u just have to get used to it.

Why have they destroyed all the banners and clubs ?

Me! Me! I hate what they've done to the profiles and clubs... not right!

It's only been an uur since it changed and u guys are still crying about it. Give it a chance, and embrace the change.
So what if it looks like Facebook of some other site like that? That's not the point. Facebook and Fanpop are two different social sites, no matter how they look.
Stop whining and get used to the new look. u may find u like it.

I'm not very fond on the new set-up, and I'm still unsure about if I'll ever get used to it. There's some things I like about the new set-up, but there's other things I hate. Like the club names on the banners, website linken on people's profiles are all crammed together and usernames on profiles are entirely in badges lock which makes some usernames look odd. If Fanpop could get rid of those maybe I'll be a lot meer comfortable with the new set-up.

But the thing I hate the most is that Fanpop didn't even tell us that there was going to be a change in set-up, they just decided that 'Okay, we're going to give Fanpop a new set-up but we're not going to let Fanpop users even know that we're doing it until we actually change the set-up.' I think they were going for the element of surprise, but I don't think it's worked as planned.

But I'll put up with it and see how it goes. However if I don't get used to it of even warm-up to the new set-up within the volgende few months of so, then that's a definite sign that I'm not liking the new set-up whatsoever.

Just a few things they need to fix.

1) The banners. The black bit on the left and bottom. What was the point?
2) The spot name. It's on the banner. Why?! On one of the clubs I joined, part of the name was cut off because it was too long.
3) The "interests" on user profiles are gone! I loved reading those. [EDIT: Fixed, but missing some things (Fave TV show, etc.)]
4) Club spot MOTTO is gone! :O [EDIT: Fixed, but in a horrible spot.]
5) They changed "Picks" to "Polls"! I like "Picks" better! Makes fanpop unique!
6) The club zoek is gone! Noooooo! [EDIT: Back, but in a not-to-good spot]

Lol this gave me a chuckle. Nah, no protest is going to make them change it back. Change is inevitable for any site, you'll have to get used to it.

The old look was one of the things that distingush fanpop from other social networking sites n i love it.. Even if fanpop wanted an update... WHY BLUE??? If the green was used n another layout it would be much better..(my opinion)

Here is my take on it.

Every site gets a new look now and then, and we can't change it. Just get used to the new layout, and everything should be fine. If u don't like it, then just deal with it. Besides, think about how much work it takes to make a new layout!
But I like this layout, so I guess I'm okay with it.

I already zei I was going to complain about it. I hate it when websites change the basic layout. I really miss the old one... besides, I'm not good at coping with change. And since i'm on this website way meer than I should be, it's become like a virtual home pagina for me. I feel so.... so EMPTY

I don't mind the blue, I just hate the text on banners and black fade. And the new spot looks. I just am not really a fan of the new look at all.

Why can't people just stop hating on the new layout? There's nothing wrong with it. Yeah, so it's different. It just takes time to get used too. The only thing I can say I don't like, is the banner thing.

No - I respect the decisions of the creators and actually sort of like the new layout now that I'm used to it.
The only thing I'd like them to change is all the blue to green - that'd be truer to the original Fanpop! (Plus that's what's making it look like Facebook)

"I" - yes bring the old layout back this isn't the site I once enjoyed they did too much too fast they should have changed a few things at a time and not everything at once. If anything give the creators of the spots the choice to have the titel of the spot in the banner of not and we need the black gone it ruins the banners that people put time in to make spots look like what they should and we need the beschrijving of the spots back it's what people resort to to define a club and without it it leaves fans wondering what the club is about. I can keep going but the lijst is endless so plan and simple bring the old layout back please.

I wouldn't mind if it had been changed for the better, but it hasn't. The banners have gone weird, the club mottos WERE taken off (though, thankfully, this problem has been repaired), the ability to zoek clubs is gone, u can't put your favourite music, of anything like that, on your profile, anymore, your username, on your profile, is in capital letters and there are many, many meer problems they have made. I haven't seen a single good change. I don't know what's possessed them to make it like this.

Changes that would have been good:

Being able to become a fan of a comment, extending the zoek ability, when searching Fanpop in general (e.g. being able to zoek for forums only etc) and... I had a few more, but I've forgotten them. Aww. :(

But, really, I just wish they'd left Fanpop the way it was.
