It's becoming more and more generic and...well, unoriginal.

i don't like it :S

I find it's becoming too mainstream, and unoriginal as you very well put it EL.

I liked where they had the profile links before better, and I'm still going to call the spots spots, but I'll get use to the changes eventually.

If they change the bar to Green and White, I think it would look better.

It's scaring me...

I like it it makes things easier and quicker once its been here for a month or so everyone will be fine with it

The changes are meant to be practical and provide more utility to folks. The top navigation allows for much better access to frequently used features and the move from "spots" to "fan clubs" is not new. We've been using the fan club terminology since the beginning of the year (though we still have a lot of vestigial spot references). This isn't done to be generic, but rather to provide more useful info to people (people know what a fan club is and people tend to search for fan clubs). If anything, these changes should HELP the site, not hinder it.

But fwiw, I still refer to fan clubs as spots and will probably keep doing so regardless of what we call them.

I don't see that its a bad thing, I've read people wanting search options for individual spots for AGES! And the black bar is different and I miss the links by the logo but...hum...its ok.
Don't like that they are called clubs now and not spots :(

the only thing that worries me is the colour- why not make it green? happy! friendly!approachable! fresh! green?

i am not fussed aboot the functions moving since i rarely use them anyway

Papa, I do like the new navigation bar but the only thing I do want to say is why does it have to be black? It's very un-fanpoppish, why not green, or blue? In keeping with the main site theme?

I don't understand the big deal with "spots" vs "clubs". It's just a word, people, it's not the end of the world. Also, I'm a devoted lemming to the F4 and whatever they feel like doing, I will happily follow. This means if I jump off a cliff, somebody needs to look at Dave or Papa cause they probably told me to do it. ;D

I miss it when your profile link and everything was under the logo, but at least now it's easier to navigate. I'm gonna keep calling them spots though.

definitly changing spots to clubs is like Youtube changing "videos" to "moving images".

They're clubs??!! the part under the fanpop is so blank. It's fine, i'll be used to it tomorrow, it's still fanpop, I'm not fussed.

They aren't clubs per say (spelling?). People dont exactly geek about their favorite whatever. there are quizzes and real fun stuff. so much better than a boring club. I wanted to add this pick...

I like the new search facilities, but the layout is really confusing and will take a long time to get used to. Still, apart from the whole 'clubs' thing, good job, F4!

I like it. I think it looks tidier and more professional. Also a big "mwahahahaha" to the F4 for calling the spots clubs - I always hated the word spot. Club gets my approval by far!

Seriously its just a word I'm sure if in your head and when your talking to other fanpopers you use the word spot and not club you are not going to be taken away and straight jacketed! And the navigation bar not really that hard to get used to. Although I have to admit I occasionally I'll click the logo and be taken to the home page and get confused because I thought I'd clicked to get to my profile forgetting that the link has moved lol. :D
