Nevermore: Harry Potter 1980's RPG

This is a play-by-post forum roleplaying game based on the Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling. The time setting and the extensive information package make sure that anyone who\'s interested can enjoy playing here, as you don\'t necessarily need to know the story or the Potter universe beforehand!

We live mainly the time period the books skip over - generally the 1980s and early \'90s - we\'ll see how the society healed from the long war, and what happened when in the summer of 1992 a rumour spread that the Boy Who Lived battled Voldemort inside Hogwarts!

In addition to the final two years of the first wizarding war, in this RPG even muggles, and the everyday life and festivities or wizarding families can stand out. This time and setting provides nearly endless possibilities for your characters!

20.8.2015 + I added some title photos into the Infos page and the Characters page to have more Potter feel and to balance out the amounts of text a bit, and made the Face claims page more lively, too.

28.7.2015 + I found a way to get rid of the random word link ads created by VigLink that plagued the posts. Now any and all links you see in a post are purposefully added by whoever wrote the post and should not lead to any advertisement. It looks to me like it worked for both, guests and logged-in members. :)

27.7.2015 + Chatbox is now open for guests to post in, as well! The forum host\'s own chatbox couldn\'t be set so but I have now attached a third-party chatbox at the bottom of the forum. Even now, anyone who has questions or suggestions relating to this RPG, please post them primarily on the Suggestions & Questions board or in the guestbook. They either don\'t require registering. Of course I do keep an eye on the Chatbox, but I may miss them if posted there.

26.7.2015 + I just realized that while I\'m well known in my own language rpg\'s, I\'m new here. So even though roleplay/writing samples are totally optional for applicants, such field isn\'t even in the application... I myself added writing samples as second posts to both of my characters\' profiles. The other sample is dialogue heavy and the other weights on action, and both are within the range of my average post length. I mean, just so you could see if you\'d like to rp with me or feel comfortable with my post lengths. After all, to whoever joins first I\'m the only player available until a second one joins. :)

22.7.2015 + Added to the Basic infos that this rpg is LGBTT/RACE FRIENDLY.

21.7.2015 + I made a trailer for this rpg to hopefully inspire people and create atmosphere. :)

+ I pulled together a thread about usergroups and their permissions on the Announcements & Update board. I tried to keep them simple and few.

+ I added my interpretation of our 13+ or 2-2-2 RPG rating. Link can be found in the Infos (Basics) and in the Rules (In-Game.)

As in I specify guidelines for what kind of language, sexual content and violence can be written here so that you wouldn\'t have to ponder so much every time you want to write something on the 13+ level.
