Brazil stemmen to ban abortion in all cases, including rape and life-threatening circumstances 

Currently, abortion is allowed in the case of rape of if the pregnancy puts the mother's life at risk. However, a congressional committee has voted for a constitutional amendment that would remove even these exclusions.
