Why didn’t Elsa’s parents get her counseling?

Because forcing your child with special powers, who can freeze a person’s heart, to hide her powers and cutting her off from all human contact doesn’t really sound like the best idea to me. TBH, the whole freezing of Arendelle was the King and Queen’s fault.

Well, we got all these weird vragen in our head now don't we?
I think that Queen Idun and King Agdar really feared what Elsa's cryokinetic abilities could do to Arendelle. They thought that the only way to be veilig is to doubt the power, and hide it.
I'm not also so sure if they already had counseling at that time. If the trolls didn't think of it as a good idea, then they should have stopped them from keeping Elsa inside.
I know, we all blame Elsa's parents for what has happened to her, but the truth is... that is what made her strong. All the mistakes in her life made something out of her, something wonderful. And that is being fearless and selfless.

Do u think Frozen will end up in the 6th place in the highest grossing films if she never froze Arendelle, and had her powers all under control?

Forcing elsa to hide her powers was wrong and it was not fair to anna. She had no idea of her sisters powers and at the same time she lost the only child she could play with.

Counseling? Wouldn't that be too historically inaccurate, even for Disney? Plus, they couldn't risk someone sliping their secret to everyone.

well its a tough vraag to answer but its also a good question.
According to me and I also hope that the people of fanpop(Frozen fans) will agree with me that Elsa mom and dad realized that if their Daughter could not able to conceal her power their kingdom will soon face
danger. So they told her to conceal it but it effected on elsa other way. She was told door the trolls that "Fear will be your enemy" and that happened to elsa directly. She was fear of her power so she could not able to control it.

Because it was too expensive(!) what do u think!? No offence but that isn't a very relative question. There was no counseling in the 1700s and even if there was. It would be stupid to tell anyone (as in the 1700, witchcraft was feared and seen as a crime) even if they were paid to keep it secret.

meer importantly, why the hell did they teach her that her amazing and usual powers were wrong? Seriously, what silly parents!

Instead of making her out to be a terrible person, they should have actually helped her overcome it/learn to properly deal with it.

They zei she was born with the powers... so maybe the dad was the reason why she had the powers to turn things into snow/ice. Maybe he had those powers as well and was taught to conceal them, too. Even so... it was pointless to conceal them. It only did meer harm than good.
