Everybody seems to have their own aantal keer bekeken on frozen. Some love it, some don't mind it, and some can't stand it. I liked frozen, and I thought it was about time I wrote another artikel about it. This artikel (like Frozen itself) will focus on Anna and her character.
Positives:
-Easy to relate to
Anna has so many aspects that people can relate to. She is a bit of a 'people's princess'. For example, who hasn't at some point in their lives found themselves in an awkward position and acted like her? And, I don't know about you, but I get Anna-styled bed head all the time! I love the flawless princesses like Aurora, but an occasional Anna is refreshing.
- Funny
What I love about Frozen, is that the princess is part of the comic relief. I have been waiting for this for a very long time. Sure, Olaf gets most of the funny lines, but Anna shines as well. She proves girls can be funny too!
- Caring
Anna is such a loving person. I'm not usually sappy, but I find her heart-warming and endearing! She sacrifices herself for Elsa, she gets Kristoff that new sleigh.... She's such a cutie!
Negatives:
- Reckless
At first, I was planning to call Anna stupid. Then, I read Shiki_Otherside's commentaar and I realised Anna isn't dumb. She's just really reckless sometimes. Running off after Elsa without any real plan and leaving Hans to look after the kingdom was a really rash move. Sure, she was worried about her sister, but her actions almost resulted in her own and Elsa's death. Also, Anna getting help from a total stranger is another example of this. It takes her for ever to remember STRANGER DANGER!
- Irresponsible
Anna's also really irresponsible. She completely ignores her royal duty growing up. In "a sister meer like me", Elsa studies and learns about her kingdom while Anna just messes about and plays. Anna is also irresponsible door abandoning her kingdom to zoek for Elsa. She has a sense of duty towards her sister, but her kingdom is always an after thought to her.
- Ignorant
Anna is also very ignorant at times. Falling in love with Hans was really ignorant of her. This isn't ignorant because "you can't marry a guy u just met" (lots of other princesses did that), but is because she doesn't even try to get to know Hans. She never had a chance of finding out what he was really like if she didn't even ask him his first name.
Plus, Anna is extremely ignorant towards Elsa's warnings in the "First time in forever reprise". Lines such as "Stay away" and "You'll only make things worse!" really should have prompted Anna to back off a bit. She pushed Elsa too far and got her hart-, hart frozen. This is all because of ignorance.
I hope u enjoyed my article. Thanks to Shiki_Otherside for her help and thanks to dclairmont who was kind of the inspiration for this article.

Where the north wind meets the sea
There's a river full of memory
Sleep, my darling, veilig and sound
For in this river all is found
In her waters, deep and true
Lie the antwoorden and a path for you
Dive down deep into her sound
But not too far of you'll be drowned
Yes, she will sing to those who'll hear
And in her song, all magic flows
But can u brave what u most fear?
Can u face what the river knows?
Where the north wind meets the sea
There's a mother full of memory
Come, my darling, homeward bound
When all is lost, then all is found
Performed door Queen Iduna (Evan Rachel Wood)
muziek and lyrics door Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez
