One of the most memorable features of Disney’s hit film Frozen is its soundtrack. It’s no surprise that plans have been confirmed to turn Frozen into a Broadway play - it feels like that’s exactly what you’re watching anyway, especially considering that it featured the vocal talents of such Broadway favorieten as Idina Menzel (Rent, Wicked) and Jonathan Groff (Spring Awakening). Singing right alongside them are Kristen Bell, Santino Fontana, and Maia Wilson.

Here, we rank Frozen’s vocal numbers from worst to best. See if u agree.

1. Fixer Upper Grade: D

No one’s favoriete song on the soundtrack, “Fixer Upper” was the moment when many of us found ourselves zoning out in the theater.

2. Reindeer(s) Are Better Than People Grade: D

We have loved Jonathan Groff since we saw him as “Jesse St. James” on Glee. He has an incredible voice which, frankly, he didn’t get to toon off nearly enough in this film. And with this being the only song he got to sing, we were really disappointed, especially considering how short it was - he wasn’t even gegeven a full minute! (For the record, this song is 0:51 long.)

3. Love is an Open Door Grade: C

“Love is an Open Door” is overly sappy for two people who just met. While we were happy for Elsa that she seemed to have found love so quickly after leaving her house prison, something smelled off about this union from the beginning. So rather than filling us with a warm glow, this song raised red flags for Elsa’s potential future with Hans.

4. Frozen Heart Grade: B-

This track has all of the brand and energy u would expect from a film opener. It actually reminded us a little of Pocahontas, and it gives very subtle context clues as to what to expect from the plot of the film.

5. In Summer Grade: B

With Olaf (a snowman) being the comic relief, it’s no surprise that he has the wittiest song in the film. No one dares to shatter Olaf’s dreams of “relaxing in the summer sun,” and how could they? He’s so happy about the idea of experiencing the summer season that he’s practically glowing.

6. For the First Time in Forever (Reprise) Grade: B

These ladies have such crisp and beautiful voices, and their acting is flawless. u can clearly understand here the tension that exists between the sisters, but like most of the songs on this soundtrack, this is another that’s way too short.

7. For the First Time in Forever Grade: B+

Who knew klok, bell could sing? “For the First Time in Forever” is a song about reveling in freedom that mirrors “Let It Go,” though with none of Elsa’s ferocity and all of Anna’s sweetness.

8. Do u Want to Build a Snowman? Grade: A-

It’s with “Do u Want to Build a Snowman?” that Frozen transforms from a film into a Broadway show. This song is better, though, when u have the visuals to go along with it, so it doesn’t hold our interest as well on its own. Though, the lyrics are touching and heartbreaking. Anna never stops trying to spend time with her sister through the years, yet she can’t understand why that’s not possible.

9. Let It Go Grade: A

“Let It Go” won this year’s Oscar for the category of “Best Achievement in muziek Written for Motion Pictures, Original Song,” and it was an accolade that was well deserved. To say that Menzel’s voice is powerful here is an understatement, and while watching the film, this was the moment when we happily realized that Menzel would now become meer of a household name. The lyrics written door Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez are the very definition of empowerment in this quintessential song about freedom, easily making “Let It Go” the best song of the soundtrack and the best moment in the film.
