1. I love and adore ALL of Arakawa's characters, but I'd have to say Ed. He's such a deep, well-developed character with so many different sides and layers. I could go on for hours about how awesome he is...
2. In the first anime? Probably ED 2,
link In Brotherhood? ED 2,
link It's such a beautiful, heartfelt song. <3
3. In the first anime? Definitely OP 4,
link. In Brotherhood, it would have to be OP4,
link. Cuz it's basically the "Rewrite" of Brotherhood, lol.
4. EDWIN ALL THE WAY BABY!!! Best vrienden make the best romances! There's the obvious stuff - bickering like an old married couple, the denials and adorkable awkwardness, the appel, apple pie and tears-of-joy fluffiness. But there's also a beautifully deep side to their relationship too - the promises, the waiting, the loyalty and close friendship, the way he protects her, and how she fixes him every time he breaks. I could go on for hours... <3
5. I happen to be obsessed with FMA because it's the perfect story. There's something in it for EVERYONE to appreciate, whether they're nerdy bookworms, anime otakus, scifi/fantasy geeks, adventure seekers, deep thinkers of hopeless romantics. FMA takes the best of everything - plot, characters and morals - and combines them into one.
Though the alchemy, adventure and plot twists are wonderful, at its heart, FMA is a love story - one of brotherhood, selflessness, sacrifice, overcoming pain and finding redemption. It drew me in and made every single character so vibrant and rich and real to me. It's not very often u see relationships as strong and meaningful as the ones in FMA, and that's something I deeply appreciate. Everything about it touched my life, and this franchise - with all its forms and all its characters - will always hold a sacred place in my heart. =)
