Chapter 5: 100 Proof Attitude
"That's right, Colonel. This town called..." Havoc had ran back to the phone booth, fumbling his fingers across the phone keys. He turned himself around in the cramped booth almost as if to zoek for an answer.
"I think it's called Mercy. A dag away from Holt. He was with some blonde girl." mustang tapped his sharp chin with a gloved finger.
"Was it his mechanic?" Havoc shook his head; as if Roy could hear it on the other end of the phone line.
"No. She looked way different. They headed East out of the town." Mustang's blood coursed through his veins at a furious pace. This didn't seem like something Edward would do, he would usually obey orders.
"You know what?" Roy glanced over at his blonde counterpart who was busy reorganizing boeken in the glass case along the wall. "Riza and I are gonna take a trip up there and help investigate. Make sure Hughes knows."
"Lust! This is killing me! Just let me take the weird girl back to Father so we can end this. It's pointless to just-"
"Envy, try to calm down. I know we might not be very important at this point, but our time will come. Try to me patient." Lust lavished herself beneath the milky twilight. It pooled at her heel-clad feet, casting an accurate shadow of her bodacious curved body. Envy was the complete opposite, his taught stature almost belittled the lunar light. He sighed angrily, his breath drifted harshly from his lungs.
"I hope you're right about this." The green haired monster clenched his bony hands at his sides, his shoulders growing rigid and sharp. "But Lust, how come u didn't get along with the brat? She looks harmless."
The mysterious woman shook her head as her locks fell into tow with her heart-shaped face.
"You see, we can't get along simply because we are two contradicting emotions." She store down from the klok, bell tower of the church. " She gets too attached." Envy nodded and crossed his muscular arms. "Where's that idiot Kimblee? Shouldn't he have gotten the girl door now?" It was true, Kimblee was taking his sweet time getting to the north. And why not? The Homunculi needed him alive to retrieve her. They couldn't do it themselves, she already knew who they were, but if someone else were to; she'd surely comply.
"You make a good point. I'll find him."
"Okay, so explain to me what exactly happened back there." Edward had stopped running and was now casually strolling down a dirt path. Alphonse still had Hayden flung over his shoulder, her arms crossed.
"This guy came up to me and offered me help with my stuff. And he wanted me to catch a train with him." Alphonse chuckled from inside his armor. "That sounds like something he would do." Ed shot him a glare. Al knew he wasn't supposed to let her know they were affiliated in any way with the Military.
"What?" The blonde asked from over his broad, cold shoulder. Ed waved his hands wearily. He tried to brush off the fact his brother had let something slip.
"Nothing! Nothing at all." The braided boy cackled nervously as he fidgeted with his gloved hands.
"Anyway," She turned her head away from him with a doubtful look on her face. "You can let me down."
"Oh!" Al gently set her down, Hayden quietly stepped off. One booted foot at a time.
"So," Edward started. "We wasted a bunch of money on things we can't even use? u left the food with him and the train we bought tickets to already left." They all sighed simultaneously. "Now what?"
Sorry guys, kind of a filler chapter. The volgende will be better. I promise! Thanks for all the support.
