Wow. Haven't written an artikel in a long time, so let's get started shall we?
I'm not getting into the whole "line distribution" thing, since in their Japanese singles, it's essentially the same thing over and over again (Hyoyeon only getting one line to make us remember that she still has a little presence in this song, Yoona getting filler English lines because she's the visual, etc.) Plus, that's pretty_angel92's territory when it comes to writing about line distribution, so I'm not stepping over my boundaries xP.
This song started out promising for me. Seohyun's voice didn't sound nasal unlike in some of their other Japanese releases this year, and Sunny's voice... I just have no words. She sounded AMAZING on her first part.
The pre-chorus wasn't that bad, but that change in tempo and beat was too sudden in my opinion. I liked hearing after a few meer listens.
But then... BOOM. The chorus happens.
I'm sorry, but that chorus felt so disjointed from the whole song that it ended up ruining the song for me. At first listen, I didn't even know they were saying, "We are the toon girls!" But then I realized that's ALL they were saying for the chorus, and I hate it when the chorus becomes super repetitive since it makes the song sound stupid in my opinion.
Can I just say that I love Yuri's voice in the seconde verse? She sounded so nice here before that "doo doo yeah" part which sounds pathetic.
And then... the bridge.
I'll be honest. The bridge sounds dull, and I feel that they just needed to put Yoona somewhere, so they added that part. Again, her English isn't that great, but:
1. I could at least understand her this time instead of that English line she got in My Oh My. (I still don't know whether of not she said, "So throw him away," of "So blow him away." Different websites say different things.)
2. It didn't sound too sudden, unlike her lines in Lips.
And I liked the adlibs from Jessica, Tiffany, and Taeyeon in the last chorus, but it wasn't enough to make me actually enjoy that chorus.
Overall, it reminded me of Express 999 and Holler combined, and while I seem to like both of these songs now (after replaying the songs constantly) I don't think I'll like this song that much.
So far, for their official Japanese releases this year, I'd say they're all equal. I don't necessarily like them, but I don't hate them either. Thanks for reading, leave a commentaar on your thoughts about the song, fan the artikel if u liked it, and I'll see u at the volgende article! Bye!

SNSD and Super Junior rocked 2009 with hits like Gee and Sorry Sorry, and it looks like they're going to end the jaar with a bang at the SBS Gayo Daejun (end of the year) show! SBS has confirmed a special stage featuring these two SM Entertainment artists.
"Super Junior will be attending the Gayo Daejun toon with an exciting performance. ... Due to their individual activities and Asia seconde Tour, Super Junior haven't been able to meet with fans in Korea much," a SBS representative stated. "After Super Junior completed promotions for Sorry Sorry, they began activities like acting in dramas, hosting as MCs and being DJs on radios. Super Junior has chosen the SBS Gayo Daejun stage for its Korean fans. Aside from Kibum who is in the middle of filming and Kangin who is taking a break, all members will be attending this event."
