AND I HATE APRIL.
Plus, besides A House Is Not A Home & Beautiful, the music sucked.
The only parts I liked were Quinn/Mercedes friendship (which is ironic since I'm not a huge fan of either characters), Puck's "Are you gay?", Artie as cake, and every time Jesse and Rachel were on camera.
I'll watch it tomorrow again and pick.
I saw the Quinn/Mercedes scene and it was AWWW.
Beautiful was nice. Other than that, the numbers sucked.
Will/April bore me to tears.
Other than that, it was forgettable. Not enough WIll/Sue, Will/Emma and even Rachel scenes.
I think the show needs to stop making such a big deal & writing episodes around their guest stars and get back to what it's supposed to be about - the actual cast. That's why they have an audience; people care about these kids, not the random adults who get thrown in just because they're famous.
I liked getting to see my two favorite characters (Finn & Kurt) get some screen time, and I like their parents being together - but I hate that they can't both be happy at the same time. =( And like everyone said, Puck's "are you gay" was probably the best part of the episode. =D

Ditto this completly Dasm Jody, we're on the same page. =D
The music was pretty lame, though I loved April (because she's hilarious, as a character she's so-so) BUT I thought this ep was MUCH better then the last two. The crying was odd, but all the minor characters getting screentime was great. Plus Quinn giving advise to Mercedes and Brittana love = WIN.
And I loved the Mercedes plot i feel so bad for her and i love her and Quinn's friendship
and loved Puck's "are you gay"!
hopefully.
Rachel as a cupcake + Jesse as a hamburger was probably my favorite thing of the episode.
I was slightly bored. But I liked Quinn and Kurt! And any episode that has people dressed up as food can't be all bad!! ;)
And yes, Puck's ONLY LINE in the entire episode was the only thing I liked.
Edit: Okay, seen it now. I actually liked it, there was way too much April though.
ARTIE CAKE!
St. Berry Cupcake & Cheeseburger was the best part of the episode. <3
That's my one complaint though.
Kurt was awesome, I loved his singing and I was overwhelmed in the scene where he confronts his dad. And he broke my heart with that sad face near the end ;_;
The Quinn/Mercedes scene was excellent, I loved what Quinn said to Mercedes about taking as much care for herself as her she did for her baby. And I really liked this storyline for Mercedes, she was good in this episode, the resolution kinda lame (with her making a speech ans singing Beautiful, though the singing was great), but still the rest were good character stuff.
I might be the only one here, but I like this comedy/drama combo the show is making, especially because the drama bits are so good (doesn't happen that often in High School kinda dramas).
The songs: were beautiful they fitted the storys and i think i cried on every one of them especially the finale number
Too much April? No i think it was nice to see her and how her life story was fitting in with Will's, he needed to have someone to talk to and April was perfect for that, also we needed to see him grieving im sorry but he was married for over 11 years its gotta be kinda hard not being with that person anymore not matter how crazy they are, this whole scene (the will/april number in his house) was just perfect and so real!
Kurt: Wow can i dislike you anymore, so manipulative just so he can have his own way no matter who he hurt in the process and then kicks in his jealousy when things dont go his way, yeah this episode made me disliek him more!
Mercedes: i now like you a little, Amber Riley was WOW in this episode, man this girl can act, and it was so nice to see a not so much eating disorder but a struggle with your weight because someone has told you too, im sorry but i think everyone has been there at some point, maybe not to that extreme but definatly close!
My only problems wiht the episode was the lack of Quick and St Berry scenes, and general Rachel but having April there and three big storlines going on made up for it in my eyes, this episode was the heart and the emotion, live isnt always happy and gleeful dare i say it and we finally have an episode where we get to see they all do hurt! LOVED IT!
p.s. sorry about the essay!
^ Agreed.
The whole concept of the episode was beautiful <3
But i can't say i LOVED it. I don't care much about the "adults" drama, i prefer watching more of the Gleeks. I couldn't relate much to the songs, apart from Beautiful. And this episode had like 2 comedy moments. Glee doesn't need to be funny ALL THE TIME, but even on some emotional episodes, there's more comedy than in this one. =/
Seriously, is this Glee for 85 year olds? Barbra Streisand? Are you kidding me?????
I think I figured out the problem with Glee. The creators are out of touch with what the audience wants. We are not show-tunes people, we don't want that kind of stuff. Were any of you calling for more Barbra Streisand before? Didn't think so. We want more PUCK you idiots!
And yes, Puck's ONLY LINE in the entire episode was the only thing I liked.
Agreed!
I really can't believe I wasted an hour of my life on that.
I loved it. It's probably one the best Glee episodes, and for sure the most clever one.
Mercedes storyline - so true and touching! Told very easy, but showing perfectly such problems like anorexia & self-acceptance. Great way of exploring the topic.
Quinn - so mature & sweet. I expected such a scene since the beginning of the second part of series. Wonderful.
Kurt/Finn - yeah! Kinda fuuny, but also realistic. Want more of that.
Finn's mom & Kurt's dad - hell yeah! Starting a new relationshp after years af being widow - very difficult, but beautiful topic. Glee surprised me very much in the most possible positive way by exploring it so well.
April - I like her character, her storyline goes well with current Will's plot. Focusing on her was nice change. Plus her voice is amazing.
Rachel - no Rachel! That's what I love the most :)
Music was of course less powerfull then in Madonna episode, but Glee isn't all about a show. It's also about emotions. The song were just perfect choice & covers. I'm a huge Barbra Streisand fan, so I was really happy to hear her song (althugh I'm 23, not 85 - @livelydebate...)
Overall - i think this episode was the most "adult & mature" one from all Glee episodes, that's why I loved it so much - and that's probably wht most people didn't like it so much (I know I'm a little older then usual Glee viewer).
I hope Glee will chose this path - it's not always about fun. And "Home" had so much meaning, sweetnes, truth and still smile...
Exactly what I makes the show to be amazing.
April&Will STILL bored me to tears.
Highlight of the ep: Quinn&Mercedes, Kurt and Burt/everyone.
I teared up several times. What's wrong with me? D: lol
Seriously, is this Glee for 85 year olds? Barbra Streisand? Are you kidding me?????
Im not being funny but i am only 21, and i know lots of people in their 30's as well who love this show, what makes this show amazing is that all ages love it and so it is catered for people of all ages, but obviously from reading these comments only people who seem to be 'old' can understand real problems that go on with people! And if this is a show about a realistic show choir then you should be glad theres not barbara in every episode because show choir with her just does not exsist!
Sorry i get a little bit rattled when people assume others can only enjoy classic greats like these tracks if there in their 80's! :S
I think this is a different side of Glee like the emotional side of the characters.
My fav was Mercedes/Quinn
Mercedes feeling bad about herself after we've beeing seeing her so proud of her chocolate!!
Quinn all grown up! super cute..taking care of Drizzle!
I'm still confused what's up with Will he misses Terri or Emma or Shelby?? damn!!
And April wo0w I love her so much she's simply AMAZING I don't know why people don't like her!
Not enough St.Berry or Quick as I wanted but those tiny seconds of them made my day!!
and the Kurt/Finn/parents storyline as well as Mercedes storyline very really really well done and acted out incredibly. Chris Colfer is beyond words and comprehention, really. and his dad - WOW. I also liked the talk Finn had with both his mum and Kurts dad. he is really becoming and awesome young man and Cory is phenomenal in portraying him
I guess my problem is that as much as I liked the storylines they seemed very randon and really disconnected. liked they came out of nowhere and it feels like they will go nowhere as well
after this episode I really need to see a real Kurt/Finn duet
and Im so over Jesse. I cant even stand to look at guy, really. its physically painful. and he doesnt have to do anything, just be there and ... its not even hate cause I coulndt care less about him I just cant stand to look at him. or listen to him
