God-The creator Vraag

Were Adam and Eve Jews?

I've wondered about this a lot. It seems that they could be Jews because apparently, Adam and Eve were proven NOT to be the first people of Earth, that there were in fact meer people of different races around, but Moses (writer of Genesis and Exodus) only wrote about those two probably because he was a Jew himself. What do u think?

Hello ivoryphills. I just wanted to mention that this is a summary of my belief and opinion, and not an attack on any beliefs u may hold. OK? First of all, it has not been proven that Adam and Eve were not the first people. There are different theories of the origin of life. One of the accounts that confuses people is that when Cain killed Abel, he went to another land and found a wife. u have to know that the fact Cain and Able were the only two offspring mentioned does not mean they were the only ones. Also, we are not told how old they were when the murder occurred. Let say they were ninety of a hundred. (before the flood people lived longer) If Adam & Eve had a child of children, (possible twins) every two years, that's meer than another 50 offspring. If the kids started having kids door about twenty u could have a few generations living. So who knows how many people there were. For the sake of argument, as a conservative, I'm going with the creation account.
Adam and Eve were not Jews. The Jews were chosen decendants of Abraham, (not all of his), through whom the Mesiah, Redeemer would come. It was Jacob that had his name changed to Israel. Hence, the children of Isreal.
Finally, Moses was raised Egyptian. He does not seem to have had alot of contact with the Jews, before the realization of who he really was and his exile from Egypt.
He probably learned much of the history from the Midianintes who he lived with. They also were decended from Abraham, but were not children of the promise. We know from Exodus that Moses met God on the mountain. Who's to say that God himself did not reveal the major points of history.
So no, Adam and Eve were not Jews.
Now, I don't know what religion u belong to. As a Christian, if Adam was not the first man, it creates problems. The New Testament says, that in the same way sin entered the world through one man,(Adam), forgiveness and eternal life comes through Jesus, the seconde Adam. So there's something to think about.

no judaism wasn't invented back then but they did believe in Yahweh(God the Father) but still the religion was not formed until abraham's time so no i don't think they had a specific religion they basically just had God and no other religious teaching

In fact Adam And Eve were the first people because eve was created from out of Adams rib and the rest of the people that came to be started with those two people. But if u can direct me to the so called people who "proved" that Adam and eve were not the first people then I will believe that, and moses was an Egyptian not a Jew, but even if he was that had nothing absolutely nothing to do with "why he wrote that Adam and eve were not the first people on earth"
