I have researched the following and well, I am not really surprised about the results. But I still ask some questions.

Why is Twilight meer "popular" when HP sold meer than 400 million while Twilight only sold 53 million? Also, Twilight is just 45% in the tomaat meter while HP is 83% in the tomaat meter? Third, Twilight sold about $191,449,475 while HP sold about $283,879,025? Another is Twilight is never shown in Kid's almanacs (the World and Time yearly almanacs) while HP is seen may times over. Twilight fans, don't u see, HP is better even of u turn the world upside down of inside out! It is like u are in a country that the government does bad things but u don't see! World, wake up!!!

blackeyeliner Yes, I totally agree. I prefer Harry Potter too, but I think Twilight has spread more because of word of mouth than the buying of the books, watching the movie etc. Anyway, most girls just borrowed the books from their friends so that would explain the number of books sold!

Vixela The fact still stands that Twilighters don't even love the books enough to buy their own copies. When HP started out, I borrowed PS from my cousin and subsequently after reading, bought the next three books without hesitation.

PMT I don't think you can say Harry Potter's better based on the books it's sold etc. Don't get me wrong, I think Twilight is a very badly written book and HP is a million time better, but not for these reasons. It is better because it written far better, the messages it sends are much better than those of Twilight, it has a rich plot line (that makes sense, unlike TWilight), much better developed characters, a more interesting story, etc etc. But still, good article. I too believe that people should realise how bad Twilight is.

Nerdz I agree with this article 100%...I try to get my friend(obsessed Twilight fan)to understand that as much as crazy fan girls think Rob Pattison is hot(which he is not)it's not going to change the fact that HP has by far the better plot,characters,storyline,etc.True...HP will always be better than Twilight.

Mrs-Grint I do agree with the article in most parts. But I want Harry Potter to win this "feud" because it's a fantastic book series. Not becaue of the ratings and stuff... ...if you get my drift... ...it's FLOWING....

Renesemee717 HP has sold more copies because it has been out longer. twilight isnt shown because it isnt exactly a kids book. that is steph's way of writing this harry-potter-is-better-than-twilight thing is boring and tiring twilight will win all the way

ToyletGnome I agree with this totally. The statistics don't lie, Harry Potter is more popular but it's because it's so much better that it's made so much more money and sold more books. Twilight fans need to get their information straight before they start crapping on about hoe much more popular Twilight is and how much bigger the fanbase is. It's not, HP pwns.

ToyletGnome Renesmee 717: I've worked it out. Harry Potter has sold 400 million copies over 13 years. That's approximately 30.7 million copies per year. Twilight has sold 85 million copies over 5 years. That's approximately 17 million copies per year. Either way, Harry Potter has sold more. Deathly Hallows alone has sold 44 million copies since its release in 2007.

It has a PLOT! It has Subplots.It has several characters with depth.JK is not afraid to sacrifice the good guys. The characters aren't one dementional. JK researches her material, has good use of Latin and history within her books. Spells are named after Latin words and do what the Latin words do. Names of soem characters give hints as to what that character is such as Sirius which means Dog ster for meer Albus which means White (pure wizard). u can relate Harry Potter to WWII because of similarities u could learn some history from the books.
Harry Potter teaches a good deal about prejudice...

Okay this is meer of an opinion, since my view of the activity is based off opinion.

Now whenever someone posts something on the internet and someone else responds negatively to it, they respond in the same way to that person. In a very negative tone. This is in fact what I see at times in forums.

First Twilight and Harry Potter fans, if u post anything on the internet, whether they are opinions of facts, u have responsibilities with it. u are exposing yourself to others in the internet. u are responsible for the positive of negative replies. So don't blame others for your actions....

I have actually read both series and liked Twilight okay, but Harry Potter rules for me!

First, the so often brought up topic... love, of lack thereof. Harry Potter consists of all sorts of love: family, parental, romantic, friend. Twilight consists of pure lust. Now for the evidence! Mrs. Molly Weasley killed Bellatrix Lestrange because Bellatrix nearly killed Ginny, her only daughter. The Weasleys all look out for each other, and even Percy apologized in the seventh book. They joined together in dark times, happy ones, sad ones, and when Fred died. u might say the Cullens toon family love....

Breaking Dawn Part One Review **Spoilers**

Over-all, the movie wasn't that bad. It stuck very, very close to the book (like, literally taking lines straight), with the exception of one of two parts, so Breaking Dawn fans will absolutely love it. But, even if you're like me and hated Breaking Dawn, the movie was still pretty enjoyable. Definitely not unbearable. The effects were great, the muziek was awesome, and Kristen kicked major ass. There was humor (because Charlie was there), there was drama, and there was even an awesome fight scene. (One-and-a-half, really.)
