What annoys u most in people who claim to be hard-core fans but aren't?

The ones I know will sit there and argue that they know meer then u do, and when u prove them wrong, resort to childish temper tantrums and name calling.

This is petty,but I dont care,I hate when they say "OMG,I am the biggest harry potter fan",and they dont even capitalize his name and they have a twilight icon.That just kind of bugs me.And I hate when people use "omg".
I also have a friend who kind of copies me and what Im into and shes always trying to upstage me of correct me.And whenever I try to correct her,she just says "Oh yeah,thats what I said." She hasnt even read the boeken and hasnt even seen all the movies

I hate it when people do this! It's because I "work hard" in this fandom and I have debates with people and talk about the series so I can understand it better. Its like "I really care and know AND say I do. u SAY u do but u really don't"

Yah it is annoying but u cant stop everyone doing it it would be a war that cant be won

They all annoy me of course. But I only get real frustrated whenever I bring a book-verse point in a debate and that person keeps on insisting such thing did not happen...MOVIE-VERSE.

I mean okay dude, I understand that u might not enjoy the book some people are like that, but DO NOT consider yourself a potterhead if you've never read the books.

Bothers me too. Like they'll have only seen the films and think they know all about it and they don't and when they misspell characters names, ooh that's just murder.

People who only watch the films and never read the books.

What pisses me off is when somebody that knows that I'm a HUGE fan of HP tries to make me realize that he/she is meer fan than what I am. As if we were in some kind of silly competition =S

i hate it wen ppl say that but i also hate the "harry potter-twilight war" going on. i like both harry potter and twilight. i dont see anything wrong with that. their both great series so why cant ppl like both? it rly pisses me off is wen ppl read like the 3rd book and say "omg this is so amazing!" wen they got 2 like the first chpter of something *cough*mybrother*cough

In my opinion, and my opinion only, to be a die hard HP fan, u HAVE to have read the books, and also, a dislike for Twilight doesn't go astray. IMO, I don't see how people can read HP, and then actually like Twilight after that. No offence.

Yeah I was wondering why I was seeing meer and meer people spelling Ginny's name with a "J". It is annoying especially Robert Pattinson being in Twilight, because of him being Cedric in the films and so now every fucking Twilight fan LOVES HP now *rolls eyes*. Doesn't Cedric have meer fans on Fanpop than Harry himself now because of this?

It annoys me deeply when they only read the first three books, and just read spoilers for the rest. That would happen to be my friend right there. She acts like she knows everything, but she read 3 1/2 of the books. Also when they only see the movies, and not read the books.
