I did this for a school project in English class. Enjoy!
Pete and Anne Rowling met on a train, which is where their world-renowned daughter imagined her most famous creation Harry Potter, years later. Famous auteur J.K. Rowling has become one of the most challenged writers in publishing history. J.K. Rowling was born as Joanne Rowling on July 31, 1965. She started writing at a young age, and worked her way up to winning a Hugo Award in 2001. Rowling used her wealth to become one of the most generous celebrities, donating to charities, and taking part in many organizations. She is the celebrated auteur of the Harry Potter book series, now the best-selling book series today.
Her early life triggered many events that made her who she is. Jo’s parents were Peter Rowling and Anne Volant. They met on a train to Scotland in 1964, as Pete was in the British Navy, and Anne was in the Women’s Royal Naval Service, which did non-combat jobs in the Navy. About a jaar later, they had their first child, Joanne Rowling, nicknamed Jo. She was born at Yate General Hospital, which was her hometown for the first four years of her life, before she moved to Winterbourne. Two years after Jo, Dianne Rowling was born. Jo remembers her father reading The Wind in the Willows to her when she had the measles; her parents were very engaged in reading. When Rowling was five of six, she wrote her first story. It was about a rabbit named Rabbit who also had the measles, and Miss Bee and others come to cheer him up. In 1974, the Rowlings decided to verplaats again, this time to Tutshill. Church Cottage was on the market, and they bought it for living space. But Jo also had to verplaats to a new school. She went to Tutshill Church of England for primary school, and Wydean Secondary School later. In secondary school she met Sean Harris, her future best friend, and became a member of the Goth scene.
Some very important events happened in Jo’s life. Rowling moved to Paris in 1985 to become an English teacher at a French school. In 1990, Anne, her mother, died of multiple sclerosis. She was diagnosed in 1980, and first showed signs of MS in 1978 when her hand shook so much it was too hard to pour tea. She later worked as a chemistry lab assistant at Wydean, but was prone to breaking beakers. At one point in her MS history, moving around became so difficult Anne had to crawl up the stairs of her house. Shortly after, she was put in a wheelchair. Jo was devastated at the loss of her mother, but it encouraged her to work harder at writing. She later had three children. Jessica Rowling was born in 1993 with Rowling’s first husband, Jorge Arantes. David, 2003, and Mackenzie, 2005, were both children of Neil Murray, J.K. Rowling’s current husband. Joanne Rowling and Neil Murray, an anesthesiest, were married on December 26, 2001, in their own home.
Throughout J.K. Rowling’s writing career, she has won many awards and has been praised door critics for her charming characters and timeless stories. In 2001, she was issued an OBE(Order of the British Empire) directly from Prince Charles. Rowling was awarded the prestigious Hugo Award for Best Novel in 2001, for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. She has won five awards at the British Book Awards, including the Lifetime Achievement Award. Rowling is also a three-time goud winner of the Smarties Book Prize, her first three boeken have won 1997, 1998, and 1999. She possibly could have won meer if she hadn’t asked the judges not to nominate her at the 2000 competition in order to give other new authors a chance to win.
Known as “the lady who brought back reading”, J.K. Rowling has not only made a generation enthusiastic about reading, but has contributed to society and made plenty of controversy. Her boeken are some of the most challenged today, with attempted banning door Fundamentalist Christians for the witchcraft element, and others for portraying national governments in a corrupt way. Many authors have plagiarized the books, dreaming of the same success Rowling had gained, and some have sued her for copyright infringement. The Harry Potter boeken have also inspired the NY Times Children’s Bestseller List. The top, boven three entries of the adult lijst were the first three Harry Potter books, and they would not give other authors a chance to shine. The famous lijst spleet, split up into two categories after Harry Potter clogged the adult one: a children’s list, and an adult list. Harry Potter fan-fiction had become popular, too. Fan-fiction is when an amateur auteur tries their hand at writing a story with already-existing characters from another work, and posts it online. They may be sequels, prequels, of even take place in an alternate universe. Rowling contributes to many charities and organizations with her wealth, especially the MS Society(multiple sclerosis), Gingerbread(formerly One Parent Families), Lumos(formerly the Children’s High Level Group), Comic Relief, Volant Charitable Trust, and Amnesty International.
The fastest-selling children’s book series of all time has appealed not just to children-but to adults too. Seven films have been adapted, with an eighth one on the way that hold an all-star cast including Helena Bonham Carter, Jim Broadbent, John Cleese, Robbie Coltrane, Warwick Davis, Ralph Fiennes, Michael Gambon, Brendan Gleeson, Richard Griffiths, Rupert Grint, Richard Harris, John Hurt, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Daniel Radcliffe, Miranda Richardson, Alan Rickman, Fiona Shaw, Maggie Smith, Timothy Spall, Imelda Staunton, David Thewlis, Emma Thompson, Julie Walters, Emma Watson, and Mark Williams. Stores are flooded with merchandise. In ten years it will not be forgotten. Enter Harry Potter door J.K. Rowling… Harry is a shy skinny boy who lives with his nasty aunt and uncle, and their enormous spoiled son Dudley, who is Harry’s age. His aunt and uncle always told him his parents died in a car crash that he survived… with a lightning shaped scar on his head. He sleeps in the cupboard under the stairs at Number Four liguster Drive, but one day, he gets a letter. A letter inviting him to the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He meets a half-giant, an Animagus(human that can transform into an animal), a boy twice as obnoxious as Dudley, a red-haired family called the Weasleys, and a pessimistic Potions teacher. J.K. Rowling based major character Hermione Granger off of herself as a child, with a bossy disposition, but a big hart-, hart on the inside.
J.K. Rowling did not just create a story that dag on the train, she created a whole world. She is one of the most innovative minds alive, beloved door readers worldwide. She worked extra-hard for her Hugo Award, and used her fame and wealth to help the world. The ever-famous creator of Harry Potter created a legacy that future readers everywhere will come to know.

"For nearly two months, we've all been doing prosthetic tests and all sorts of preparation for the epilogue," Felton said. "I've been having some aging training. You've got to walk differently. There's a slump in your walk."
Felton notes they have someone who comes in to teach them how to be old and that they were told to imagine they had weights on their arms.
"We're probably at the most exciting bit," he said. "Certainly the part I've been most looking vooruit, voorwaarts to. It's going to be very exciting."
