Lucy ran into a compartment and leaned against the door, panting. The two boys looked at her, their brows furrowed.
“Oh,” she zei when she saw them. “Sorry. I told off some boys and they got mad and started chasing me,” she rubbed her arm where one of the kids had punched her.

“Oh, you’re doing magic? Let’s see then,” she said. Lucy sighed.
Ron cleared his throat again. “Sunshine, daisies, boter mellow. Turn this stupid fat rat yellow,” the rat squeaked, but nothing else happened.

I’ve been practicing a few spells of my own,” she pointed her wand at Harry’s face. “Occulu Reparo,” Harry’s glasses quickly fixed themselves. he took them of and examined them, his mouth hanging open slightly.
“Jimmney Cricket. You’re Harry Potter. I’m Hermione Granger. And u are?” she looked at Ron.
“Ron Weasely,” he said, mouth full of candy.
“Pleasure,” she frowned and stood up. “Well, u better change into your robes. I expect we’ll be arriving soon. Come on, Lucy,” she walked to the door, then turned and looked at Ron. “You’ve got some dirt on your nose door the way. Right there,” she pointed to her nose. Ron began to rub his nose, furiously. Lucy stood up.
“Sorry, she can be a little...showy sometimes,” she waved. “See u later.”
Lucy had changed and was walking back to teh compartment Hermione was in. Two large boys round the corner and started walking towards her.
“Crap,” she muttered and slipped into a compartment. She watched the boys pass.
“Oi,” someone zei from behind her. She whipped around to see two boys with ginger hair and identical smiles.
“Sorry,” Lucy said.
“It’s okay,” one of them said.
“I’m Fred,” zei the other.
“I’m George,” the first one said.

“Who were u hiding from?” George asked.
“The two boys that just went past,” she said.

Lucy smiled. “I told them off. Plus, I left them a little present that should go off...now,” an explosion sounded from a few compartments down. Three boys walked quickly past, covered in bright paint.
“Oops,” Lucy smiled.
Fred and George looked at each other, then smiled again. “A fellow prankster,” they zei in sync.
“Lucy,” Fred said. “I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.”
The train stopped and Lucy got off. She waved goodbye to Fred and George who walked towards carriages that seemed to pull themselves. She walked towards a giant man with a lantern, yelling for first years.

“Hello, I am Professor McGonagall. Now, u are about to go in to the Great Hall to be sorted. u will be sorted into one of four houses. Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, of Slytherin. While u are here, your house will be like your family. Do something well, and u will gain points. Break any rules and u will loose points. Now, wait here and I will be back momentarily,” she turned and walked through two large double doors. Lucy smiled at Hermione, eyes shining with excitement.
“Well, well,” a boy said, walking to the front of the group. He stopped in front of Harry. “It’s true then. The great Harry Potter has come to Hogwarts,” everyone started whispering. Lucy raised an eyebrow. What was go great about Harry Potter? She looked at the boy, recognizing him from the train. He was one of the boys she had told off.
“I’m Draco Malfoy,” the boy said. “These are my friends, Crabbe and Goyle,” Lucy put her hand over her mouth, holding in a laugh. Ron, however was not so lucky. He chuckled aloud.
“Think my name’s funny do you? No need to ask for yours. Red hair and a hand-me-down cloak. u must be a Weasley,” Malfoy turned back to Harry. “I think you’ll find that some families are better than others. u don’t want to hang out with the wrong sort. I can help u there,” he held out his hand.
“I think I can tell the wrong sort for myself, thanks,” Harry said.
Lucy couldn’t help it. “Well, you’re just a little prick aren’t you, Malfoy,” she said. Malfoy looked at her.
“Do I know you?” he asked.
“Yeah, we met on the train. door the way, u still have a bit of paint behind your ear,” she smiled. Malfoy stared at her, eyes widening as he realized she had set off the paint bomb. McGonagall came back and tapped Malfoy on the shoulder. He walked back to Crabbe and Goyle.
“Follow me,” McGonagall said. Everyone filed into the Great Hall behind her. They stopped at the front of the room. An old hat sat on top, boven of a stool. Lucy raised an eyebrow. Then the hat began to sing. Lucy’s mouth dropped open. When the hat finished, McGonagall pulled out a lijst and began to call names. Eventually, she got to Hermione.

“We know,” the twins zei together. Everyone began to eat, chatting and laughing. Suddenly, Ron screamed. A man’s head sat in the middle of a schotel of chicken.
“Hello, Sir Nicolas,” a red, curly haired boy said.
“Hello, Percy. Good to see u again,” the man floated up through the tafel, tabel and began to fly away.
“I know you,” Ron said. “You’re Nearly Headless Nick.”
“Nearly headless? How can u be nearly headless?” hermione asked.
“Like this,” Nick said. Many people cried out in disgust, so, Lucy looked up. She saw Nick’s head laying on his shoulder, hanging on door a thin flap of skin.
“Oh,” she said, dropping her fork and mes in surprise. Nick pushed his head back and floated away. avondeten, diner ended and the food disappeared. Fred and George stood up and waved goodbye.
“First years,” Percy called. “Please follow me to the common room,” he walked out of the Great all and they followed him.
“This is the stairway,” he explained. “Be careful, they like to change.”
“Change?” Lucy wondered aloud. One staircase disconnected from the landing and started turning. Lucy’s eyes widened and shown with amusement.
Percy led them up many stairways before stopping in front of a picture of a fat lady.
“Password?’ she asked.
“Caput Draconis,” Percy said. The fat lady nodded and swung open. They filed in and looked around in amazement.
“Boys, your dorm in upstairs on the left. Girls the same on your right,” Percy said. “Just ask me if u have any questions,” he walked up the stairs. Lucy turned to Harry, Hermione, and Ron.
“This is so cool!” she exclaimed. Hermione chuckled. “Let’s go look at the dorm,” Lucy said, grabbing Hermione’s hand and dragging her up the stairs. Lucy opened the door and gasped. She walked over to a bed with her romp, kofferbak on it. A black owl with shining feathers sat on it with a letter in it’s mouth. She took the letter and stroked the owl.
