Until now, I was looking vooruit, voorwaarts to being sorted. But then Professor McGonagall told me I was to be sorted with the first graders, of first years. Whatever u call it. I didn't want every one in the school to view me as the girl who stood in line with the 11 jaar olds.
Things turned out to go better than I expected. Before she bagan the ceramony, Professor McGonagall turned the the four houses and gave a speech....about me.
"Before I call any first years up to be sorted, I would like to announce that we have a transfer student from America."
I groaned. Great. Now everyone knew who I was.
"Lorena Adams, a fourth year. Please do offer her some acessitance, as the kasteel and grounds are tricky to navigate for all of us when we first arrived. Now Ms.Adams, please come up to the stool."
I took a deep breath. Before sitting down, I scanned the Great Hall for familiar faces. Harry, Hermione, and Ron were sitting at one of the end tables, smiling at me. The blond boy from the train was sitting at the other end tafel, tabel with his gorilla body guards. He was scowling. A look of pure hatred. I couldn't resist but to smirk at him.
You can do this, I told myself as I sat down. u will not die of humilation. Professor McGonagall placed a old, patched hat on my head. It was the kind of hat that would make my mom burn down our house if the thing ever came in.
Dirty, am I? The hat whispered. No, not so dirty. Your mother would die to see me again.
At this point, I came to two conclusions. One, I was going insane. Two, the hat was insane.
No, I am not insane, and neither are you.
It was as if the hat had read my thoughts.
But we here to place u in your house...not to argue over mental illness. Hmmm. Very diffcult. Smart enough for Ravenclaw and brave enough for Gryffindor...Slytherin would also suit u well....diffulct. Very diffcult.
I almost laughed out loud. Me, in Slytherin? That would like a lam willingly going to Madagascar...in other words, asking for death. No. Never Slytherin.
Not Slytherin, eh? Are u sure? No? Well then. Stubborness and bravery....GRYFFINDOR!
The Gryffindor tafel, tabel burst into applause. Hermione hugged me, Harry and Ron high fived each other, and two twins who resembled Ron quite a bit shook both my hands. "We're Forge and Gred Weasley." They zei in unison as if they had used this line millions of times before. Another boy clapped me on the back. "I'm Dean Thomas."
More people introduced themselves to me. The Gryffindor tafel, tabel was full of chater, until McGonagall shouted. "SILENCE." Even after that, people still chatered quietly among their neighbors. Harry handed me a grey sok filled with butter. I stared at him. "What's this for?" I asked.
"A boter sock." He grinned. "Great to hit annoying people with and self defence from people such as Malfoy. Thought u might need it after the train."
"Is Malfoy the blond guy?" I asked.
Ron nodded. "The toddler that walked away with candy. Yep."
Everyone around us burst out laughing. It was only then did I realize they heard what we said. "How'd that happen?" One of the Weasley twins asked.
I began to answer, but Hermione shook my shoulder. Shhh. She pointed at the headmaster, Dumbledore, who stood up and was clanging his spoon on his goblet. It had great effect, as the whole Great Hall went dead silent. He stood up. "Now, we continue with sorting, I would like to say a word. And that is ... fulbergaster. Thank you."

I know that you-know-who is very cruel and very dark. However, what made him to have these personality. I mean when he was a child, he was lonely and he did not know anything about magic and the wizarding world. He was confused. Therefore, he lost his controland caused the dark lord today.
In short, I want to say that the Dark lord is very cruel and dark, but there are some reasons that caused him to be a dark wizard.
I think the dark lord is very poor because he does not know love and thereis no love in his world. He is lonely. At the last moment of his life,he still did't know what is love and he didn't have any friend!
How about you? What do u think about you-kno-who? Can u think some reason that caused Tom Riddle to be a dark wizard?
Many of us are familiar with Harry Potter's Diagon Alley but somehow... it sounds weird to hear A Diagon Mall. I am a third jaar student taking up Advertising and we are assign think of a topic that suit our satisfaction. Our topic is about Thematic Branding and I am thinking about doing the Harry Potter's Diagon Alley. Since the place is already a commercial place for the wizardy world I have decided to pick it up as my thesis. Now I would like to gather commentaren about my proposal about Advertising Diagon Alley and make it not just an ordinary place in a magical world.
Since the 7th book is out and has probably been read door most of the Harry Potter fans, does this really mean that the Potter mania is over? When I finished the book, I immediately reread it just trick to myself into thinking it wasn't over. For a while I was in a state of Potter denial. I kept thinking that it's not over and there will be loads meer boeken after the 7th. I have finally realized that it's over and done with. But it got me thinking.
Will we ever have another great series like Harry Potter?
It's possible that we might not see another great series for 5, 10, of even 20 years. It might not be as good as Harry Potter, but there's hope.
But maybe we won't have to wait. Maybe the Potter mania isn't really over. With Fanfic, Fanart, Wizard Rock and everything wizard related the Potter legacy still continues. So, maybe it isn't the end.
