I've always loved Severus, so The Prince's Tale didn't change anything.
I changed my way of thinking about Dumbledore.
Voldemort's the same in my mind.
=/
The only other change was I felt more sorry for Snape. It was terribly sad. For some reason, I kinda liked Dumbledore just a TEENY bit more. Dunno why though, strange.
severus,but i like older James:)
now i understand snape and admire him.he is a great man .though he had painful past ,he overcame his darkness and have a great love.he sacrificed his life and soul against voldmort.
he sacrificed his life to protect a child whose father treat him badly
it was very interesting getting a glimpse to dumbledore's past too, it made sense to why his so protective of harry, always persistant of not hiding the truth and being honest with harry and not sugar coating the reasons why harry experiences the constant pain, events...so yeah...Snape's awesome lol :P
Snape tale almost made me cry. I loved him after I read it.
But nways yeah obviously after reading the princes tale you completly change on Snape, not because many of the things he he did werent wrong, but becomes what he finally did was very admirable, and it made me respect him as a character.
But what I liked about him from this scene is him and Sirius - seeing there friendship in action was amazing and it made me see how truely close they were, for my money the closest friends in the book excluding Fred&George, and it changed the way i thought about them.
Snape - WOW his did change my opinion of him ALOT. And since i've never liked Snape - not at all - it did make me like him more and in the end I did feel sorry for him. At the same time i'm not sure how good of a person he was. He joined Voldemort - supposedly believing in pure blood values (though voiding them for Lily) - and only turned against Voldemort when Lily was in danger. So he turned for her, that's great and all but he still didn't seem to care about anyone else all that much. And wanting the demetors to kiss Sirius? Yeh overall I'm not a great fan but like I said "The Prince's tale" did make me feel sorry for him.
Voldemort's didn't change my opinion of him at all. It was interesting but still.
Dumbledore's WOW - this might sound stupid but I never even considered Dumbledore having parent's or him being a child! So this was completely weird for me. It explained so much about the way he was and the way he acted and truely made me love him so much more!
you really misunderstand why snape join death eater ,he just seek for a strength that can protect him,you can learn how these four people treated him,and james even can not against him alone。so snape just wanted something that protect him。and he belonged to Slytherin where nearly everyone to be death eater,it is very hard for him not to be a death eater
it is great that he had great love .he devoted all of himself including life honor dignity happiness and so on for defeating voldy and protecting harry.
that is so why i respect him
i like sirius, but i have no respect for james ,because james mean to severus
Dumbledore on the other hand lost my respect completely after his biography and I actually started hating him after reading Snape's memories.
This was the closest answer for me to pick, since my opinion never changed about any of the other characters.
But, Anyway, I lost respect for James after that. He was a bully and nothing more.
Snape was quite the contrary
Dumbledore: I was very ambivalent about Dumbledore until DH. There were times were I liked him and believed that he had everyone's best interests at heart. Then there were times where I thought he was conniving old man who wasn't actually thinking about the consequences of his actions. After reading DH, about his past and realizing that he hadn't much changed from the "For The Greater Good" mentality definitely put him low on my list of characters.
Voldemort: I definitely sympathized more towards him after I read about his past and family. While I don't think he ever did the right thing, I couldn' see him as this monster who simply wanted to be immortal for the sake of being immortal.
James: I was pretty indifferent towards James until OotP. I respected him (and don't get me wrong: I still do) for giving his life for his son, but I didn't know anything more than that. I couldn't say I liked or disliked him based on the little information that was given. But seeing (and hearing Remus and Sirius' sides) definitely changed my view. Just like Dumbledore, it pushed him low on my list of characters.
Same thing with Dumbledore.
Voldemort's story just made understand why he turnd out the way he did.
But,I've completely changed my opinion on Snape after DH.I
I've always disliked Snape even after DH..I just don't care for him that much. The story of Voldy's abandonment didn't really struck a chord in me so I added None.
i did lost a bit of respect 4 james
as 4 voldemort, i felt pity dat he waz orphaned and stuff BUT the things he did was unforgivable
