I absolutely loved him from the very start, I have a thing for, well not evil, but slightly mean characters :)

honestly? I dislike harry... well, I like him but I hate it when he view severus as evil. i hate his black and white way in seeing the world. I always think severus as a good person even with his strict character. and I hate it that harry always judge him as evil even after Dumbledore and hagrid say otherwise.

tall dark and snarky? count me in.

I read the first book when I was 10 so I didn't like Severus but adored Harry, he is the main character after all. But getting older I realised what a prick Harry is (tough I still like him) and began to like Severus more and more with ever book I re-read again. Right now, I absolutelly love him =)

To be frank...i used to dislike him. But since i read the 7th book and watched the films, he is in fact one of my favorite characters.

I absolutely loved him from the start. I knew he had a strong, complicated character just by the way he says things. I also have a taste for characters with a bit of evil in them; I love Voldemort, and Bellatrix.
One of the first things I immediately took a shone to was his scathing sarcasm (I too am quite a sarcastic person). But my love rose in great volumes for him when I realised just how he had protected Harry for a woman he'd loved twenty years ago, and who was dead. His loyalty for Lily is unspeakable, and even more than Bellatrix's for Voldemort (which, coming from me, is a lot because I absolutely love Bellatrix!)
I think of him as a lion in snake's skin. He was sorted into the wrong house; even Harry thought of him as the bravest man he'd ever knew... a slytherin who died like a gryffindor...

He was nasty to Neville (whom I adore).

No, but I was very little when I first read the first book, so it's understandable.

I loved him from the start he was my fave then and still his i loved his dark brooding ways and his dry humour
