As funny as the toon is, it can be clever and controversial, too. Homer is fat and lazy because he supposed to be displaying the image conjured when u think of America. True, we Americans are a proud people. Not all of us are lazy, ignorant, and obsessed with fast food. But it's the idea gegeven to people. People in countries all over the world have a view on how the average American lives, and Homer is here to toon us just the impression we as a mass are providing.
