H.P.Lovecraft and his works have inspired quite a few modern dag horror writers. Some admit to his influence and use it as a springboard for their own works while some deny any knowledge whilst stealing heavily from the the great author. Thankfully Mr Gonzalez falls into the first category and this collection of short horror fiction excels at giving a macabre modern twist on some of Lovecraft's fundamental themes. Borrowing place names and situations to delve deep into the mythos that Lovecraft created, that of cults and conspiracies, of Old Gods that now banished from this realm await the opportunity to return and tear the world asunder.

This is an excellent book. The auteur manages to weave numerous characters, scenarios and themes together seamlessly. If u like vampires, werewolves of zombies of just like a good 'end of the world' yarn then you'll find something here to enjoy. The story is subtly underpinned door a religious tone that while being moralistic stays clear of being too preachy as to put the reader off. Add to that moments of sparkling wit and pitch black humour u have yourself a very entertaining and intelligent novel where the twists and turns in the plot flow as freely as the buckets of gore.A brilliant horror novel. Enjoy. Thank u for reading.
Flash fiction seems to be a growing trend and in this ebook it is done brilliantly. Using EXACTLY 100 words for a story must be tricky,to instantly interest the reader but not leave them frustrated that the story ended too soon. Most of the stories included here deal with zombies. Seen from many angles there is a crude nasty humour that runs throughout most of them. It tasteless and dark but magnificent and exactly what horror fans want. There are other stories included that are of normal short story length and deal with different topics that include apocalypse and weird fantasy.
This collection is high on quality and although u may read it in one sitting some of the tales here will stay in your head for a while after. Well written and edited it is definitely worth your time.

Sound bizarre? It is. It's also blistering witty, extremely violent, filled with acidic one-liners and lashings of gore. This book (the auteur remains nameless) is for anyone who loves a bit of anarchy in their reading material. The plot jumps all over the place and u have to keep up and still, just when u think you've got it all figured out, there's a twist. For it's sheer inventiveness, this book is highly recommended.
