I need some advice

I have a pony named Jack and he is 13hh and 19yo. In a little while I will be too big for Jack.. He is getting old and so he will soon be incapable of doing what I want him to. I have found a new horse that is perfect for me.

So whats the problem? My parents. They think Jack is still perfect and that he will be for a long time. I have had Jack for a long time and I need a new horse, but I can't convince my parents.

Get your parents to watch u ride Jack. If he is getting too old and too small for you, they have to see it when u are riding. If that doesn't work, call up your vet and have him/her tell your parents Jack is too old be be ridden, and that u need another horse. The same thing happened to me and I called my vet, and she convinced my parents. Hope I helped

Also when you're riding, I dint know if there are any visible signs he's too old, but if there are your parents may realize it.
