Before I explain, let me give u a little background on the situation at hand. I joined this site coming on three years ago, back in 2008. At the time, I watched only two TV shows: House and Bones. A jaar later, in August, 2009, I watched five: House, Bones, Fringe, Lie to Me, and 24. door August, 2010, I was watching seven shows, having added Psych, Criminal Minds, and NCIS to my repertoire (24 had since ended). This time two weeks ago, I was watching twenty-one TV shows, having picked up fourteen shows in just the past six months. When I had to type up a lijst on MS Word of all the shows I watched, because I couldn't even remember them all off the top, boven of my head, I realized the situation was probably getting a little unhealthy. gegeven that, while I was home pagina for spring break this past week, I got together with a friend who has the same problem I do: the tendency to start watching, and usually get hooked on, new TV shows when bored. We sat down with a lijst of all the shows we watched, and we started crossing shows off the list. I managed to get my lijst whittled down to thirteen shows on the spot (this is still a big number, but it sounds a lot better when I realized that I used to watch almost twice that), and I'm expecting to drop at least two meer shows during summer hiatus, and two shows that may of may not be renewed. Here's what I have so far:

House
Bones

Covert Affairs
Rizzoli and Isles

Of that list, Psych, Covert Affairs, and Rizzoli and Isles air all of the majority of their episodes during the summer, so not when all the other shows are on. Shows that may of may not be back volgende jaar include Lie to Me, Human Target, and The Chicago Code. Of those three, The Chicago Code tends to pulling in the highest rating, followed door Lie to Me, and then Human Target (which sucks for me, because I'd like them to be renewed in reverse that order).

Shows that I may of may not watch volgende jaar include The Chicago Code, Covert Affairs, and Criminal Minds. Whether I watch The Chicago Code volgende jaar depends on how the season ends and how many of my endangered shows get renewed. For instance, if both LTM and Human Target both come back (I'd lay money that this won't happen), I'm not watching it. If only one of them comes back (the most likely scenario, if u ask me), I'll have to decided based on the end of the season.
Covert Affairs depends almost exclusively on how they do this summer. I'll make my decision once the summer season has ended. Criminal Minds depends on which cast members come back. As of now, whether Paget Brewster comes back depends on whether her pilot gets picked up and, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't believe that Thomas Gibson of Shemar Moore have signed for volgende season yet. Last I heard, they were still in contract negotiations and not close to signing anything. One cast member loss, I can probably handle, but if we lose any two of those cast members, I'll. meer likely than not, drop that show.

That being said, there are two pilots I have my eye on (if I wasn't restraining myself, there would be at least five), though I won't know if either of them are getting picked up until vos, fox and ABC release their fall 2011 schedules, and one series premier (on Tuesday, actually), that I plan to watch, but I've come up with a new strategy that if I'm not into a toon in the first three episodes, I'll drop it on the spot. I'm optimistic that I can keep my TV toon count low, relative to what it was. My goal is to get down to ten, but baby steps when it comes to dropping shows I really like.

Anyway, I thought I'd share that with u all, because it's kind of a big development for me, and pertinent to most of my fanpop activity. Kudos if u got all the way though it. Any support would be appreciated. It was all I could do to stop myself from watching the newest episode of Being Human, and it's all I'll be able to do to not watch Eureka when it comes back volgende season.
