Ok...The freaking out on this site about the Huddy finale is starting to get to me. I understand that season 6 has been a tough season for all of us but its been important and significant and although "Help Me" is looking depressing, its significant too. I want to address ALL of this and hopefully help calm u down.

First of all, House and Cuddy are really slow. It took them all the way to season 5 to start realizing themselves that they are in love with each other. We are now approaching the end of the 6th season and they are still dancing around each other. But they will figure it out eventually. We need to be patient with them. All of the stuff that has happened is for the eventual Huddy relationship to happen. Here is why season 6 was important:

1)Their affection has to be firmly established:
Slowly, bit door bit over the seasons its been revealed that House and Cuddy are in love with each other and probably have been since Michigan. Cuddy almost asked House to provide his sperm for IVF, she was the one there for him in the seasn 4 finale, they kissed in Joy, she pursued him in season 5, and he hallucinated sleeping with her. Therefore, factually, the feelings are there.

2) House had to change first:
In the first 5 seasons of House we are presented with a selfish, drug abuser that places himself above others and acts as if he has no feelings. This is obviously not the case as we slowly learn that he has deep feelings for Cuddy and Wilson. But as of season 5, he was not willing of mentally able to have a relationship. He had get better, learn to have a relationship first before jumping into one. He went to Mayfield and started getting therapy. And all of this season, he showed those feelings and Cuddy noticed. He has shown he cares, and he CAN be predictable.

3) Cuddy needs to experiment:
We all know that House isnt normal. He's mysterious, unpredictable, and exciting. That attracts Cuddy. But it doesnt give her a white picket fence and a dad for Rachel. Thats what Cuddy thinks she needs. She wants that predictability and knowing someone will always be there for her. Thats what Lucas is. And she thinks its what she wants. If she hadn't explored this option, then she would always wonder and it would make her unhappy.

4) They both need to know House's true feelings:
This entire season has shown us AND Cuddy that House really loves her. We see him giving up on pursuing Cuddy after he finds out about Lucas because he wants her to be happy. He tells her how he really feels and he gives her and Lucas a present for a "special occasion." Cuddy knows, we know, there can no longer be any doubt. And it scares her. She finally found the picture perfect family and she realizes that House can fit in too and shes worried about the risk.

5)EVERYBODY LIES
This entire season has involved lies. Cuddy lying to herself about her feelings for Lucas and House. So what makes u all think shes not lying when she says "I dont love you?" She IS. At this point, and after all those 2 have been through, there is no way she can be telling the truth. And on the promo: Look at her eyes. They are not angry, malicious, upset...they are sad. She KNOWS she loves House. But she is in love with the idea of Lucas.

The important part is that Cuddy needs to realize this for herself and make the decision for herself. She will figure it out eventually but it will take her time. Once the novelty of the engagement/moving in together of whatever goes away with Lucas she'll figure it out. And she'll be upset, hurt, and scared. And House will be there for her. And this time she'll take him.

So u see...all of this has been working to the same goal: Huddy endgame. It's painful, long, hard, and ridiculous but we'll get there. It may not be the end of season 6 but it WILL happen. And even though things have been depressing, its for a reason. When people are broken, hurt, and in danger thats when true feelings come out. Cuddy has been there for House every other time. What makes u think she wont be this time?

Remember: Everything happens for a reason. DS and KJ are not torturing us because they think its fun: they are getting somehwere. Give House and Cuddy time and give them the chance to find each other. They will. And if it hurts along the way, thats what we are here for: to help each other and get through it.
