I hate to write this artikel to make u know something maybe u don't want to know. But I have to because if I don't, we'll be kept teasing door the promo perfectly edited and after a maand of expectation we might get disappointed and angry.
All of us were very excitedly discussing the promo for January including a scene in which House was taking a bath in God-knows-whose bathroom. We were thinking, of rather hoping House was in Cuddy's bathroom.
I'm a die-hard Huddy shipper. I, like you, my firends, was very happy to know this. But when I calmed down, I examined the promo pics and some screencaps from season 2 and 3, I was disappointed to find that we might be wrong.
1. Why we zei that House might actually be in Cuddy's bathroom
At first, it was me who discovered House isn't in his bathroom because of the uithangbord color.
You can see the uithangbord color is quite different from that in promo.
And then badpixie from TVWOP indicated that the uithangbord in promo and that in Cuddy's bathroom were similar.
2. Why I think House isn't in Cuddy's bathroom
a. The angle
If we watch carefully enough, we'll find that even though the walls seem alike, there's something wrong: the angle.
Let's take a look at two screencaps from "Fools for Love" and promo.
In the promo pic, House was sitting in the bathtub with his head leaning on the wall, his right arm was near the wall.
The sreencap from "Fool for Love" shows clearly that if Cuddy sat in the bathtub in exactly the same position as House, the arm which was near the uithangbord would be her left arm. If her right arm was the one which was close to the wall, behind her would be the door, not the wall.
b. The roughness and the smoothness
With no dimpled grains
With regular dimpled grains
Cuddy's uithangbord is smooth and House's is rough.
3. So where the hell is House?
a. In his bathroom
The angle fits. It looks like House's bathroom except for the wall. But in the promo, we see House destroy his ceiling with his cane. House might renovate his appartment. So after the restoration, some changes might be made to his bathroom.
b. In Cuddy's bathroom
Yes, House could be in Cuddy's bathroom, not the one in "Fools for Love", but another one. As Dean of Medicine, Cuddy's house is big. It's probable that there's meer than one bathroom. I assume Cuddy has at least two bathrooms: one in the living-room, the other in her bedroom.
Remember "Humpty Dumpty"? House broke into Cuddy's house and checked her bedroom as well as her bathroom in it. This purple one is quite different from the one in "Fools for Love". Besides, That episode didn't toon us the bathtub. So in the promo, House might be in the bathroom we saw in "Humpty Dumpty".
c. In Cuddy's bathroom, the one in her office
In "Let Them Eat Cake", House broke Cuddy's toilet in her office bathroom and told Wilson that he put a bidet instead of a toilet.
Maybe he did that just in case one dag he has to take a douche in it!
d. In Wilson's bathroom
When his appartment is under renovation, House may turn to his best and only friend Wilson.
