"So, what else did u have to say?"
"Well, it's come to my attention that u did in fact appreciate the desk, and I wondered why u didn't tell me that yourself?" House asked as he placed his cane on the floor.
Cuddy's eyes went dark. She hadn't been expecting this change in conversation nor did she think he'd ever even openly admit that the bureau was from him.
"You talked to Wilson."
"He zei u practically set the room on brand with your glowing smile."
"It was a nice gesture. u made amends and I except your vijg, fig leaf...We're fine now. Always friends." She zei with a blank stare.
House watched her for a moment before picking up his cane and walking into her kitchen. Cuddy shook her head at his abrupt absence.
"House, if u wanted something to eat u could have asked instead of just raiding my fridge."
"Okay, I want this and this and oh these." he zei in a child-like tone as he pointed to a box of left over Thai food and a piece of chocolate cheesecake.
"You are forever fifteen u know that." Cuddy zei with a sigh as she got out some plates and began to heat up the food.
House sat on her keuken-, keuken stoel, kruk watching her fill two cups with some juice. He could tell she was stressed door his presence, but then she had been alot lately.
"So,the Rugrat letting u sleep at all?"
"She's actually been pretty good. But all the boeken say that when she sleeps I should sleep, but she sleeps alot." Cuddy zei with a light laugh.
The microwave beeped and Cuddy turned to retrieve their food. Cuddy handed him his plate. He nodded in thanks and took his plate to the table. Cuddy joined him.
"House, why else did u come here tonight? I mean, I know when u have something on your mind."
"Just the usual stuff," he zei cryptically as he ate a spring roll.
"So, anarchy and world domination," Cuddy zei with a smirk.
"Exactly."
"The snow is pretty," she zei as she cast a glance out her window.
House lay a hand near Cuddy's contemplating touching her and then decided better of it. He placed his hand deep in his pocket instead.
She drew her attention back to House and a soft smile crept on her face.
"Do u remember the first time we met?"
"I think there was a vaatje, vat involved and some strippers..."
"Yeah, only in your dreams. Come on. u remember. It was starting to snow and finals had just ended..."
"And u were walking back to your dorm and had your nose stuck in that chick book..."
"Only u would denigrate Jane Austen door calling her novels purely chick books. The book was Persuasion door the way."
"Anyway, u were so into that book that u didn't see the ice on the sidewalk and ended up falling literally into my lap."
"Good thing u caught me."
"Good thing." The two smiled softly at each other.
Ring, Ring.
The companionabe silence was broken door the obtrusive phone.
"I better get that," Cuddy zei reluctantly.
"Yeah." House replied with the same reluctance.
