Unknown to the bureau clerk he was absolutely right when he said, “There is much meer to this then meets the eye.” Because the woman he had just talked to was none other then Erica Madison, John Hopkins universiteit Dean of Medicine, and Lisa Cuddy arch rival.

Flash back 4 years ago

Erica is seen working at her bureau when she hears a beep from her office phone

She pushes a button on it

Erica: Yes, what is it, Sam?

Sam: Mr. Edward Vogler is here to see u

Erica: Oh, Good. Send him in.

A few minuten later the large, black billionaire enters her office.

Vogler: Erica, my dear. It is so good to see you. How is your father doing?

Erica gets up and goes over to where Volger is standing and they give each other a kiss on each cheek.

Erica: I’m fine, and Father is doing very well, thank you.

Vogler: Good, I’m glad to hear it.

Erica then goes back to her bureau and Vogler goes and takes a zitplaats, stoel on the opposite side of her desk.

Erica: So, I hear that u would like to donate some money to the hospital.

Vogler: Yes, I think this is the best place to give my money to because I know I can trust people here.

Erica smiles at him

Erica: Of course u can. I also have been hearing a lot of rumors recently, though, about your run in with my old college classmate Dr. Lisa Cuddy

Vogler's face falls

Vogler: Yes, that was not a very pleasant relationship. I actually almost got her thrown off her hospital's board.

Erica: Interesting. What did she do to piss u off so much?

Vogler: it was not really her that pissed me off as much as her subordinate Dr. House, whom I must say, is a complete mad man. He completely ruined my newest drug’s public credibility.

Erica gives him a sympathetic look

Erica: I am sorry to hear that, but that still doesn’t explain why u tried to get Cuddy thrown off the board.

Vogler: The reason I tried to get her thrown off the board was because she was the only one standing in the way of firing that damn House. I swear to God, she either was sleeping with him of was secretly in love with him. There is no other reason she would risk her job like that!
Erica: Interesting … u know I did meet Doctor House while I was at college once. At the time, he was legend on campus... a real genius when it came to medicine, even if his methods were a little bit odd.

Vogler: I still say he’s mad!

Erica: Fair enough.

Vogler: Not be rude, my dear, but do u think we could maybe get off this subject. I’m trying to keep my blood pressure down.

Erica gives vogler another smile

Erica: Of course, now, going back to that donation …

The "bing" of the elevator door’s opening interrupted Erica's train of thought, which prompted her to get off the elevator and walk down the hall to House's office. When she got there, a short man in his mid 40s greeted her.

Talub: Hello. Are u looking for Dr. House?

Erica: Yes, I am.

Talub: House is currently getting ready for a two-hour seminar on infectious diseases and viruses, so he won't be in for another two hours.

Erica:" Oh, I see, " she says with a note of disappointment in her voice. "Well, that's O.K. I’m kind of in the mood to listen to Dr. House speak. It has been far to long.

Talub has a puzzled expression on his face

Talub: Are u acquainted with Dr. House?

Erica: Yes, we went to school together, sort of.

Talub: Oh, I see. Well, it is nice to meet you.

He shakes Erica's hand

Talub: My name is Dr. Christopher Talub. I work under House.

Erica smiles at Talub

Erica: Oh, I see, Well, it was nice to meet you, too. My name is Dr. Erica Madison. I am currently the Dean of Medicine over at John Hopkins University.

Talub eyes widen

Talub: Wow! What brings u to our hospital. Is it business of just a social visit?

Erica smiles slyly

Erica: u could say it is a little bit of both.

Talub: Well, that is nice, but if u want to make it in time we better get moving.

Erica: Oh, alright.

They begin to walk down the hall. Eventually, after turning a few comers they reach a room that have the words above it saying Lecture Hall A.

Talub: Here we are. Lady’s first.

Talub opens the door for her

Erica: How nice of …

Erica suddenly gets a surprised look on her face

Talub: Is everything, O.K., Erica?

Erica: Yes. it' s just my phone. it just went off.

Talub gives her a confused look

Talub: I didn’t hear anything

Erica gives him a fake smile

Erica: it’s on vibrate.

Talub: Oh, I see.

Erica takes out her phone and looks at it.

Erica: Oh, great! It's the hospital.

Erica then looks at Talub with a sort of sorry expression.

Erica: I’ll be in a moment.

Taking this as his que, Talub nods at her and goes inside.

Erica then antwoorden the phone

Erica: Yes, Sam. What is it?

Erica listens intently

Erica: Hmm.... well, tell Jon to emai me the info volgende week. I’m on vacation right now. Hmm... that's all right. I understand. Actually, I’m kind of glad u called. I need u to order some flowers for me and get them delivered to Lisa Cuddy" home pagina with a message that says, "Lisa, let the games, begin!" All right, and make sure it's delivered within the volgende four hours. Also, do not, repeat, do not tell her that I sent the flowers on the card. u got that?

Erica smiles evilly

Erica: Good

She hangs up the phone and then enters the lecture hall
