Well...at least I know there's somebody else, apart from us Huddies, who do still think of them as a possible couple...

As far as I know, BB is a real Huddy too. That is one of the reasons I love her reviews so much :)))

Yeah and she obviously does understand the show, unlike others who write ridiculous reviews.

Excellent review AND analysis. If only, because I tend to agree and so appreciate how she THINKS things through..making it easier for me to understand.

Right On! @wendus. YES, don't know if you read it..but the reviewer who compared "Lockdown" to the TwightZone seemed more interested in "funny ha ha look at me antics" than serious analysis..which only serves to confuse and obfuscate...the real picture..adding to fan freak out.

IMO, TPTB are simply taking time to set the table for Huddy, b/c it in fact takes time to move the characters along a believable path or journey.

I also thought about the added burden that BB mentions, that came out of "Lockdown," a whole new dimension to House pain & angst..I too hope the writer's pick up and run with in a future epi..that being he cannot save all the patients of the world, okay, that makes me cry.

Oh @BH! :,) I would like to have your confidence right now...although I must admit I agreed with the reviewer of the Twilight Zone comparison. BB's analysis is the best one we got so far, but she is too much of die hard fan and I have never seen her to really question the their choices in terms of plots and storylines.

Maybe I was expecting too much...

I totally understand you. I was expecting too much in 5to9 and didn't enjoy it as much as everyone else did...until much later, after reading all of you on the forum.

I lowered my sights on "Lockdown," after reading alot about HL directing. It began to be clear to me that..no way is Huddy going to fit this scenario they are describing.
So I watched it with more of an eye behind the camera, seeing the little touches. Like when HL framed in Taub & Foreman..between the file boxes on the shelf..stuff like that...and I liked the epi more. (Not in my top 10 or anything).

Some were critical of the darkness of "Lockdown," but it was 8:05 pm..in the evening, after hours..so it was a darker atmosphere..and as BB said..the dying patient then slipped away..into the night.

Maybe I was too harsh on TwilightZone reviewer. In some ways, if you were to take "Three Stories" & put it into mixing blender with TwilightZone...you may end up with something like "Lockdown." (I admit..I only skimmed that review..it sounded gloomy).

BB picked up exactly on what I did. When he talked about Lydia it was a deflection from Cuddy. The dying patient was no idiot, so he would have picked up on it if House was outright lying. So House decided he'd talk about Lydia and it was obvious to me. Lydia was important but shes not the reason House's leg has been hurting for so long. Its all about Cuddy, but even if the patient is dying, its just not something House wants to confront right now.

I actually posted my disappointment on BB's facebook the night of the episode which started some back and forth with her on Twitter. She explained some things to me so I was expecting her review to be good. It is a very good review except for one thing. I am having a hard time with her reasoning on why he brought up Lydia. I usually look deeper into every word and facial expression but what if what he said about Lydia is just what he meant and that is all there is to it.
Otherwise, I love her observations. She is quite a writer.

Well guys..unless, if or when we were to hear from Lydia...it simply does NOT matter what House says or feels about her...in the bigger picture. House is not about to go and pull Lydia away from her children & husband..and so I believe this to be totally intentional...it is all one sided. There is nothing House can do about it..except express his misgivings, regret and pain...and how that may then affect or enter into his future choices for himself...and possibly Cuddy.

Well Belle I must believe House mentioned Lydia just for the reason BB pinpoints in her article. I immediately thought it myself when I saw the ep so I didn't have a hard time with that.

What I mean is litterary that I MUST BELIEVE THIS, otherwise it doesn't make sense...does it? One should go with the interpretation which fits the pattern better, unless we agree it's all turned into a huge twisted mess :P

Be patient with my dark humor. I'll be back cheery and moony as you like as soon as possible XD
