Ausiello: I think there’s one coming in the season finale. “The finale is sort of a very unusual circumstance in that it [deals with an emergency] outside of the hospital,” explains exec producer Katie Jacobs. “Every doctor in the area is basically called because it’s a genuine, immediate, tragic situation. Fans can expect to see a heroic House, and that’s not lost on Cuddy at all.”

Nothing special @LW. It really means nothing, but we can dream right?

No wait....we can't! XD I surely can't....last time I was too much disappointed. Better to expect nothing ;)

Kidding aside, I don't honestly expect anything really...do you? I mean, I have learned my lesson. House is one of the tougher thing I have ever watched.
Besides, if and when Huddy is gonna happen, no way we are gonna be informed before.

I'd love to be enthusiastic but I can't. I don't believe them anymore and I won't be happy untill I see that.

God I'm not expecting anything either but i'm still very glad.It's the first good news in a while so it means that that huddy is not dead yet.

I'm HAPPY about this...VERY. Why? Because finally Cuddy is going to SEE something about House that has the immediate capacity to reach in and grab her heart & soul. His ability to be selfless, putting himself at risk and all that stirs up about who he is.

She can't look away this time..because it will be extraordinary..not the usual hero stuff he pulls everytime he saves the potw..but super hero stuff...in a dramatic emergency scenario...thump-thump-thump...sound of hearts pounding. I can almost imagine a last scene of major Huddy eye contact...setting up a Summer of hope.

Ok, realistic back up plan, I"m carried away & should prepare to be crushed instead.

^^ I agree with bluehue I think it's going to be huge moment for them. I don't think it's going to immediately lead to them getting together or even a hook up. But I think it's going to be the emotional push Cuddy needs to see that what she's been telling herself all season about House not being the guy she needs or wants is wrong.

I'm very very cautious and not getting my hopes up, but I'm thankful we actually get some good news for once. It's about damn time.

I just can't believe it anymore. Once when it came to Huddy, House used to be overwhelming and breathtaking, whether it was good or bad news...this season the best we have got dates back to Brave Heart and Known Unknowns.

Once I would tell I wanted to believe. Now...I am too bruised :(

I too am very cautious about getting too carried away. However, if this plays out even remotely close to how Ausiello has described it (which is itself a pretty far stretch), we can't overlook how important it is.

What is arguably the biggest reason why Cuddy doesn't feel like she can have a relationship with House? In my opinion, it's not Lucas. I think that her love for House is deep enough that she would ditch that twerp in a heartbeat if she felt strongly that it would work out with House. So, in my opinion, she doesn't think she can be with House because she thinks he is too selfish. He would only care about himself and not Cuddy and/or Rachel.

Thus, this heroic event they are saying will take place has the opportunity to show that he can and (perhaps more importantly) WILL make sacrifices for people other than himself. As a side note here, I wonder who else is involved in this heroic event? I mean, I am assuming he saves someone somehow - who is it?

Secondarily, this heroic act will also work to reinforce the concept to Cuddy that HOUSE HAS CHANGED! I think she has been refusing to believe that up to this point. She has probably noticed some changes, but refuses to admit to herself that House has really changed. She probably thinks this is some game he is playing or something like that. However, if the magnitude of this heroic event is anywhere near how it is being described, I think it will force Cuddy to realize that House isn't doing this for show. Then maybe she will be able to admit that she is just having a relationship with Lucas for show...

Bea..don't worry...you're naturally conflicted & just following our Cancerian instincts to stay safe inside the crab shell..but also be a free spirit and venture a look outside. Ha!

Right LW...it’s not that she had been madly in love with Lucas this season. He was able to step into the picture as a result of Cuddy needing more order in her life..away from the perceived chaos of House.

Also, I’m wondering if Cuddy was more deeply hurt inside than we have imagined following House’s mental collapse. This is why we see Cuddy constantly doubting or being skeptical of House. I’m sure you can all come up with examples like in "5to9" when her 1st thought or fear about the drug purchase order mess was to ask, "was it vicodin?” It wasn’t. It has been this back & forth all season about how much to trust or blame House for things. It's hard to acknowledge the new House..when she may still be hurting from the old House. Anyway...that's why, as @oldmovie says...the finale could be the emotional push! I like that thought.

We are sounding about as skeptical and cautious for Huddy as Cuddy is herself.
So I guess, welcome to her world & why this is so difficult. We want to play it safe too, just like Cuddy. If that makes sense.

@BH, I love your analogy that compares our apprehension about accepting good news about Huddy to Cuddy accepting that House has changed. It's easy for us to scream at Cuddy to just accept that House has changed, but we ourselves can't even accept that something good with Huddy is going to happen without throwing up all manner of red flags.

As a side note, I just requested a quote via email from a steel supplier here at work. A few minutes later I received said quote via email. The sender's name? Robert Chase...

I saw this last night right before I went to bed, and anticipated the excitement but was to tired to post the link on here :) What is it with EW posting these kind of spoilers so late? I went through the same thing as Beatrix. Part of me wants to picture House rushing off to save others, Cuddy worrying for him, A KISS happening before or after, an ending scene like Season 4---and then part of me thinks nothing will happen at all or Cuddy will break up with Lucas and then House will be forced to choose vicodin because of the pain he experiences after the rescue. I wonder if the character that we know of visiting House soon will be involved in this event.

My guess is the same as always: something bad and something good will happen to House this season finale. The bad things are his fallout with Wilson and emotional pain that leads him back to taking Vicodin (i also think something very, very bad will happen to an important member of the show, my guess: Thirteen, that will have a devastating effect on House). The good thing: his emotional vulnerability and the proof that he has changed will force Cuddy to face her love for him, that she had been hiding from him and herself this year.

Mysuspicionis: what character we know of will be visiting House soon? Nolan? Alvie?
BTW: i dropped off my chair when i saw the pics from "The Choice" with Nolan in Cuddy's office. Literally dropped off my chair. What on earth is that????????

I meant Alvie. House bonds with him, he's a friend, and in Housian fashion they kill him in the disaster.

I am so happy finally Cuddy is going to see the side to house that she has been blind to all season. I cant wait to see how this plays out. One thing I do know its going to be interesting so cant wait
