Robert couldn’t speak with what he saw door the time he entered Lisa’s dressing room. He placed his fingers on his forehead as he walked left and right but still he isn’t looking at friends. Lisa slowly sat down on her divan, bank and Hugh was still standing on the place where Robert had found them. The room was silent then Robert stopped, tried to look at Hugh who was looking at him too.
Robert: I don’t think I need to ask the two of u about what I saw…
Hugh: <sighed and nodded> uh-huh.
Robert: How long has this been going on? --- Two weeks? Just today? Just the other day?
Lisa: <sighed and looked at Hugh before answering and looked at Robert again> Three months
Robert’s eyes grew wider and threw his hands in the air like what Wilson does.
Robert: Three months?! <He stammered> Hugh! <Hugh looked at him> I told u to knock your feeling off, I didn’t say go and have fun of have I? Was there any confusion on what I said?
Hugh: <sighed> Robert...
The door opened and a writer peeped in, Hugh and Lisa looked at her.
Writer: Lisa, you’re in the scene with Omar.
Lisa: I’ll be there…
The writer nodded and went off closing the door. Lisa stood up and looked at Hugh, who gave her a nod, and Robert before leaving and shutting the door behind her. Robert sighed and looked at Hugh again.
Robert: It isn’t your dream to wreck your marriage, is it?
Hugh: I know what I’m doing…
Robert: If u are then u should know what you’re doing is wrong from the start.
Hugh: I love Lisa, what the hell is wrong with that?
Robert: That idea itself is wrong, Hugh! --- How sure are u that it isn’t just your libido? Maybe you’re just attracted to what Lisa’s body has? You’re risking your marriage again!
Hugh: <with wide eyes> What the hell! --- I know what love is for god sake.
Robert: <sighed> Di, did u already slept together? <Hugh moved his head to say yes and Robert closed his eyes and opened it again and sighed and looked at Hugh> Okay, in either way I look at it, Lisa will be the loser here. At the end of this game, I’m sure she’s the one who’ll be left out crying.
Hugh: I won’t let that happen.
Robert: Oh, so you’re actually planning to leave your family?
Hugh gave a sighed and didn’t bother to answer instead; he walked out, slamming the door behind him.
That evening, Hugh met Lisa in her house as what had been planned earlier. They were silent as they have their avondeten, diner together and only the clanging of the utensils that touch each other could be heard. Hugh couldn’t bare to see Lisa being as sad as tonight. Her eyes were swollen and some parts were red which he came to notice. She didn’t looked at him but he was looking at her every minute. minuten later, Hugh found Lisa with her dog seated on her garden porch. He sat down beside her because he can no longer bare to see her like that.
Hugh: I have already told everything to Robert…
Lisa: Telling that to him won’t change anything…
Hugh: I know… but I did it anyway. ---- I only want to make sure that stains aren’t yours. He was right. It was my fault from the start… --- I shouldn’t have ---
Lisa turned to look at him and he could see the where the tears has flown on like how magma left a volcano’s crater.
Lisa: You’re giving us up?
Hugh: No… I never wanted to… I won’t let that happen…
Hugh got Lisa’s head and leaned it on his chest as he hugged her tightly again. Lisa, on the other hand, was feeling protected in Hugh’s loving arms.
Hugh: I want to stay here forever with you… No matter what happens, just remember that…
