It was two weeks since Lisa got that necklace.
She didn’t know if what she did after getting it was right, but nobody but David knew of it, so it was all good. At least for now. She knew it was going to get out in public really soon. And he was about to find out about this really really soon. She snapped out of her thoughts and found herself gently caressing the necklace. God, why did he have to mean so much to her? Why did he have to have so much power over her, even when he wasn’t around? She went to the keuken-, keuken and poured herself a glass of water. While the water was still running down the drain, Lisa thought of how water was so pure. She instantly remembered how she never allowed herself to think of Hugh and hers relationship as pure, she couldn’t allow herself to think like that, but somehow she always did. She mentally yelled at herself when she realized how ridiculous this ‘everything reminds me of Hugh and I’ was getting.
She took a sip from the glass and she heard a knock. That was strange. Nobody ever knocked. Everybody used the doorbell. Everybody but…
No, it couldn’t be, could it? She quickly brushed off the thought of Hugh standing outside her house.
So she just stood there, frozen, hoping that that someone would go away. But no, that someone was really determined. What was she to do? Open the door to find that someone on the other side of it, not be able to control herself and fall into his arms? That is, if that someone didn’t still hate her.
But, what else could she do? She figured out she could just stand there in the keuken-, keuken and hope he will leave. That someone wasn’t going to be on her lawn forever, people were about to notice.
Yes, she decided to do nothing and wait. She was counting on that someone’s rational side telling him to go home pagina after some time. What she didn’t count on was that that someone still had a key to her house.

“I’ve been looking for you…” zei Hugh as he approached Lisa.
Lisa couldn’t say anything, all of sudden her voice was gone.
“We need to talk…” he continued as he got even closer. Lisa was still not responding
