I had stopped the bleeding on Koga’s arm, but he was still really weak. I placed his head on my lap. I looked up to watch InuYasha fight the bird. InuYasha pulled back his sword as the bird swooped towards him.

“Wind scar!” He yelled. The bird was ripped into a million pieces door the powerful attack. InuYasha landed lightly on his feet about ten feet away.

“Well,” he turned to face Koga. “Now that I’ve taken care of the giant pigeon, I can take care of the fleabag.” He pushed through the crowd of wolf men and stopped. He stared at Koga and me with a look of complete horror on his face. Koga opened his eyes and groaned.

“You trying to hit me while I’m down, mutt face?” He stood up.

I grabbed his arm. “Don’t, Koga. You’re hurt pretty badly.”

“No, I can take on this half breed any time, any place.”

“Fine then, lets finish this right now.” InuYasha started to walk towards Koga.

“InuYasha, I’m really sorry for this,” I said. “Sit” InuYasha slammed into the ground.

“What did u do that for?” he yelled.

I ignored him and turned to the wolf pack. “Take Koga and get out of here. Now!”

“Okay, we will,” They zei as they ran back towards the cave.

InuYasha was in my face, glaring a me. “You let him get away! Why were u helping him?” he demanded.

“He protected me.” I said, staring calmly back at him.

“Protected you! He kidnapped you.”

I could feel myself starting to tear up. I turned away and started to look for the jewel shards from the Bird. I heard InuYasha stomp away. I glanced over my shoulder to see him sitting on the edge of the cliff, facing the sunrise.

I found the jewel shards and everyone but InuYasha gathered around me.

“Are u okay, Kyoko?” Sango asked.

“No,” I replied. “I don’t understand why InuYasha was yelling at me for helping Koga. Koga protected me from being eaten door his pack so I figured that I owed him for it.” I wiped a rogue tear as it fell down my cheek.

“You know,” Kagome said. “I think it was because he was REALLY worried about u and I think he got a little jealous. u should go talk to him.” I nodded and walked over to sit volgende to InuYasha.

“Hey,” I said, sitting down. InuYasha turned his head away, ‘I’m sorry that I worried u so much and I want to thank u for saving me.”

“Whatever. I bet u would have liked it if I didn’t toon up at all.”

“What?” I was confused.

“All Koga had to do was say a few sweet words and u were hooked.”

“Hooked? Are u jealous because u think that I like Koga?”

“No!” He stood up. “That’s stupid. Why would I be jealous? I don’t want to talk about this anymore.” I smiled.

“So,” InuYasha said. “What happened between u two?”

My mouth dropped. “Did u really just ask that?”

“Oh no,” Kagome zei from behind us.

I stood up, my eyes was filled with pure rage. “What is wrong with you! Why would u even ask me that! I have so self respect u know!”

“I was just asking u don’t have to bite my head off for it.”

“You are such a jerk!”

“If I’m such a jerk,” he yelled. “Why do u keep coming along. We were fine before u got here and besides I’m getting tired of rescuing u all the time.”

My eyes changed from fury to a mixture of hurt and anger. “I see.” I said, calmly. I turned to Sango. “Sango, may I borrow Kirara?”

“Um, sure. What for?”

“She misses her wolf boyfriend already.” InuYasha mocked.

I turned towards him. “No! I’m going home, stupid! Are u happy now? u are such a jerk!”

I jumped on Kirara and headed towards the sun. I could hear Kagome calling my name, but I ignored her. As soon as we got out of sight I burst into tears.

“Why does he have to be so mean?” I asked Kirara, needing someone to talk too. I cried all the way back to the well.

“Thanks Kirara. Now go back to Sango.” I jumped into the well. When I climbed out on the other side, it was the middle of the night. I walked slowly towards the house. Mother opened the front door.

“Kyoko! Welcome back, dear,” she said, hugging me. I smiled slightly and walked straight to my bedroom. I plopped down on the bed, not bothering to change clothes. My eyes closed and I slowly drifted off to sleep.
