The volgende morning I walked slowly down to breakfast. Kagome was there. I sat down quietly.

“Kyoko?” Kagome said. I looked at her. “Are u okay?”

I nodded and starting to eat. Everyone was staring at me.

“What!” I demanded, glaring at each of them.

“You know,” grandpa said. “this is the first time we are eating together in a while so u could stand to cheer up a little.”

I stood up and gathered my dishes together. I put them in the sink and stomped out of the room.

“Boy trouble,” I heard Kagome say. I walked to my room and sat on the bed.

“Kyoko?” Kagome said, coming in the room. “You know what would make u feel better?” I shook my head. “You should come and see everyone at school.”

We walked to school in silence. When we got there, Eri, Yuka, and Ayumi ran up and hugged me.

“Kyoko!” They screamed.

“Hey guys,” I tried to smile and act natural.

“Okay, what’s wrong?” Eri said.

“Nothing,” I replied and started to walk away. Eri and Yuka stopped me.

“It’s a boy isn’t it?” Yuka guessed. My eyes widened.

“Fess up.” Eri said.

“It’s nothing,” I said. “He’s a jerk and he isn’t worth talking about. I never want to see him again.”

“So there is someone?” Ayumi said. Just then the klok, bell rang. We all walked into the classroom.

School went door quickly. After classes were over, Eri, Yuka, and Ayumi dragged Kagome and I to McDonald’s. We bought our food and then they started to vraag me.

“Alright, what kind of guy are u seeing?”

“He’s a jerk. He’s rude and moody and ignorant. And he gets so jealous it’s just ridiculous.”

“Well if he gets jealous, that means he has feelings for u at least.” Ayumi said.

“Yeah but he is still totally hung up over his first girlfriend. But he is strong and courageous and has moments where he is really nice to me.”

“Kyoko,” Eri said. I looked up. “It sounds like you’re in love with this guy.”

“What?”

“Come on it’s written all over your face.” Ayumi said, smiling. Kagome started laughing. We zei goodbye and Kagome and I walked home.

“We’re home,” I said, opening the door. I walked to my room and found the door open. I looked inside to see Sota sitting on the floor with the window open.

“What are u doing in my room, Sota?” I asked.

“Um, I can’t tell you. It’s a man to man promise,” he said, running out of the room.

The volgende dag at school, I was talking to Kagome when a boy in my class names Hojo called my name.

“Hey, Kyoko. Can I talk to you?”

“Um, sure.” I walked put into the hallway with him.

“Well, now that you’re back, I was wondering if u would like to go see a movie Saturday.”

“Saturday? Well I can’t…”

Eri and Yuka ran up behind me. “She would love to go.” Eri said.

“Great. See u then.” Hojo said, walking down the hallway.

“Why did u guys set me up like that?”

“Because u may like dating a bad boy now but it could really mess u up.”

“Yeah u are going to that movie on Saturday.” Yuka agreed.

“No I’m not,” I said. “I do not like Hojo. And I’m waiting for InuYasha to come apologize. So I will not go on a datum with someone I don’t like.” I walked back into the classroom.

That night I sat in my room drawing. I was trying to get my mind off of InuYasha but for some reason I couldn’t stop drawing his face. Sota sat on my bed playing with our cat.

“Kyoko,” Sota asked. “When are u and Kagome returning to the Feudal Era?”

“Whenever InuYasha comes to get me,” I replied.

“But what if he doesn’t come?”

“Why is it any of your business. Get out of my room!” I yelled.

“Well why would he come get u if your always biting people’s heads off.” Sota said, running out the door.

I sighed and finished the picture of InuYasha’s face that I had been drawing. Then, I walked over to my bed and sank into my pillow.

“I’ve missed my bed,” I zei to myself. “It sure beats sleeping on the cold ground outside.” That’s not true, I thought. u love sleeping under the stars and knowing that InuYasha is watching over you. I wonder what ster he’s under tonight? I closed my eyes and went to sleep.

I woke up the volgende morning to find my window open. I walked over to it and looked outside.

“InuYasha?” I whispered. No one answered. I turned around and noticed something door my bed. Footprints. Two muddy footprints and handprints were volgende to my bed. Those are InuYasha’s, I thought. I stood up.

I walked into Kagome’s room. She was getting something out of her closet.

“I’ve decided to go back,” I said. She turned around and smiled.

“I knew it,” she said, handing me a bag. “I’ve been packed for days.”

I called Hojo and explained that something came up. He was very understanding. Kagome and I waved goodbye to our family and jumped into the well.

Back in the Feudal Era, I found InuYasha sitting on top, boven of a hill.

“Hey,” I said, sitting down beside him.

“Kyoko,” he said, surprised.

“Look I wanted to…” I started to say.

“I’m sorry,” he suddenly said. I stared at his, surprised. He pulled out the picture of him that I had drawn the night before. It was ripped and full of holes. My mouth dropped open.

“That’s what you’re apologizing for?” I asked.

“I got nothing else to apologize for.”

I stood up and was about to explode at him when Kagome, Miroku, Sango, and Shippo ran out from behind a struik, bush yelling at me to stop. They grabbed my arms and shoulders and held me back.

“Please wait, Kyoko,” Miroku said. “He’s doing his best.”

“How long have u guys been watching?” InuYasha yelled.

“Yes, all he has done since u left is sigh and mope around. He even went over twice to get you,” Sango said.

“He came over twice?” I asked.

“Were u guys watching me?” InuYasha said, standing up. “Can’t a guy have a little privacy around here.”

“Calm down, InuYasha,” Sango said.

“Yes, she came back, that’s all that matters,” Miroku agreed.

“Can’t u just slikken your pride for once and apologize,” Kagome said.

“Shut up!” InuYasha yelled and he started to chase them around the field.

“You should forgive him.” A voice from behind me said. I turned to see Kaede walking towards me. “He is just glad that you’re back.”

I smiled and watched InuYasha run after everyone.
