"I... didn't want to look at your eyes anymore."
Ran, what did u mean?
"Those eyes... that yearned for Zim."
I wasn't always like this. I'm trying to focus on my mission. My mission with you. but I left u behind-- I'm sorry.
"I wanted to photograph your gaze. Not one for Zim, but for me."
Oh, Ran...
He had me pinned down. I could feel and smell his breath, which reeked of cheap rubber material they use for Halloween costumes. My red eyes were shut tight. Just let me go. I screamed in my head. My lips quivered. I want to leave. Please, Ran, let me go.
"Look at me, Ume." I could tell he was grinning softly, though underneath that grin he was smirking with the knowledge of his advantage. A strong, nearly nude except for a pair of puffy, loose exercise pants tied at his waist like most martial artists wear was a charming male Irken. Precisely 16 in human years, but a young soul with misty blue eyes and long, silky black hair that draped 4 inches over his shoulder in a braided pigtail. Beneath him... under his control... was me-- Ume. Who regretted agreeing to visit his base. Ume, who also has black hair and blue eyes. Though my eyes were a fake blue, and only part of my disguise. Ume, sporting a dress I had thought all human girls wore. A short (bought at a children's department), neon oranje dress and undershirt. Not to mention the red heart, kant, lace around the brim, and abnormally monstrous breasts that bulged violently from the cut. I really wish I didn't have them. They were a distraction, and only brought embarrassment and attention to my green skin. Everyone would commentaar on this body I inhabited, and I did something Zim called "blushing". Zim...
I did as I was told, and stopped squinting like my life depended on it. Which it might have. My eyes were a foggy lens. The vision of Ran was a blur. Beads of sweat dripped from the both of us.
"Was was that yesterday!?" I managed to force from my shaky mouth.
"What was what?"
"That... k-k-k-KISS!"
Ran's smile grew, and matted bangs fell over his eyes.
"We both know what that was about."
"Then may u kindly explain it to me? Because unlike YOU, Lord Smugness, I have a lower level of thinking!" Tears rolled from the sides of my eyes and onto the hoofdkussen, kussen softening the contact between my messy locks and the hard, metal-spring bed. Ran continued to stare at me as I let out uncontrollable sobbing. The candles on the desks began to dim, and eventually burned out. Hot wax drooled over the the drawers.
"Don't play dumb, Ume."
... What? Play dumb? Who was playing dumb?!
"I wouldn't have kissed u if I had no interest in you."
His cell phone began to play an obnoxious tune.
"I kissed u because... I love you."
Huh?
"More than Zim could ever love you."
He flipped the phone open.
"Hello, Azu. No, I'm busy right now."
Would someone PLEASE explain this to me!?
I could feel my eyes grow larger, and my mouth stretch to a thin line.
"Your with Zim? Why?"
Ran LOVES me?
"Ume? Yeah, she here. In my room."
Ran loves ME?
A phone appeared between my stare.
"It's for you." Ran zei climbing off the bed which shouted at him in squeaks, indicating the oldness of the room.
"Eh?"
"It's Zim." he zei abruptly in an annoyed tone, shoving his hands into his pockets.
"H... hello?" I asked into the phone.
"UME!?" a voice exclaimed on the other line. 'WHERE ARE YOU!? WHY ARE u WITH RAN!?"
"... We were eating mochi* together."
There was a comedic silence.
"CUT THE CRAP! I'M COMING TO GET YOU!"
The last tear fell from my eye.
"You are?"
"SURE AS HELL I AM!" Bleep.
I flipped the phone shut and held it against my chest. The door creaked open, and Ran began to pull a red overhemd, shirt over his head. Light from the hallway flooded the dark room.
"Tell Zim I zei hey," he scoffed sarcastically. "And door the way-- that peck on the nose I gave u the other dag was nothing. If u really want a kiss, stop door again sometime, cutie."
