Lorelai walks into the keuken-, keuken of the DragonFly, and tells Sookie that she has a datum with Luke. Sookie, of course, freaks out, and is very excited. They excitedly talk about it, and then Michel comes in, and tells her that there is a guest in the lobby, asking for her. Lorelai leaves the kitchen, and the scene shoots to Rory, who is interviewing Barak Obama. After the interview is over, her cell phone rings, she antwoorden it and finds out that it is Dean calling. He called to tell her that he is graduating Community College volgende week, and he just wanted her to know, as she was the one who had always pushed him accademically. They talk for a while, and she tells him what is going on in her life, how she just interviewed Barak Obama, and how she is glad that he called, because she has always felt bad about how they broke up. After a couple of minutes, they hang up, and u see Rory smiling. Screen turns black.
Lorelai in her bedroom, putting on dress after dress, then grabs her phone and calls Rory. She tells her that she is going out with Luke tonight, and she needs her to give her some advice on what to wear, because she threw out everything that reminded her of Luke, and know everything remindeds her of Christipher, and she dosen't want to wear an outfit that she wore on a datum with Chris, on a datum with Luke. Rory is, of course, esstatic, and asks where they're going. Lorelai tells her that she dosen't know, and could Rory please give her some advice. Rory says that Lorelai didn't throw everything out that reminded her of Luke. Lorelai asks her what she means, and Rory says that she went through the stuff that Lorelai was going to throw away, and took out the most sentimentel items, plus some dresses, and she hid them in her dorm because she knew that if Lorelai found them that she would be very upset, and if Chris found them, he would be even meer upset, so she hid them, and then brought them home, and hid them in her room when she had graduated. Lorelai went and looked in Rory's room, and she finds the box. She thanks Rory in an emotional tone, then hangs up, and takes the things out ine at a time, each sparking a flashback. She eventually gets dressed, and puts on the errings and halsketting, ketting that Luke gave her. Just as she's putting the finishing touches on, she hears a car honk. She goes to the frontdoor, and greets Luke. Things are a bit ackward at first, but they get over that, and they drive off. Scene cuts to Rory, and there is knock on the door. She gets up and antwoorden it. Dean is standing there with flowers. Rory is shocked, but she invits him in. They talk for awhile, and Dean explanes how he has a job here in construction, and since he knew that Rory was here, he thought he would stop by. They joke for a couple of minutes, but then get serious, and dean tells her that he was wrong to brake up with her, and he misses her. She tells him about Logan, and he gets angry at him for braking up with Rory, then says that it's acutually a good thing, because know Rory is free to go out with him, if that's what she wants. He asks her idf they can go out tomorrow night, and she pauses for a minute, and then smilies and says yes. She walks him to the door, and they kiss, then he leaves. Screen goes black.
Luke's truck pulls up to the gazebo, then he helps Lorelai out. They walk up to the gazebo, which is covered in a white sheet. He parts the sheet, and inside the gazebo is a beautiful table, with a white tablecloth, flowers, wine, candles and the gazebo on the inside is covered in small white lights, strung everywhere. Lorelai is stuned, and Luke asks if she likes it. She says that it is amazing. He puts out his hand, she takes it, and walks up the stairs. He pulls her chair out, she sits down, he pushes her in, then turns some soft muziek on, and puts the white sheet back in place. Screen turns to Rory and Dean on their date, and they are having a really good time. Dean brings her home, then they start kissing, and she brings him inside, and shuts the door. Screen turns black.
Screen turns on to Lorelai and Luke eating. They are talking and laughing, and having a great time. When they are finished, Lane comes in and takes their plates away. Lorelai says how much she enjoyed the date, and how amazing it was. Luke says that it's not over yet. He goes around, pulls out her chair, and helps her up. He leads her out of the gazebo, then goes back inside, and puts on the song that they danced to for the first time at Liz's wedding. He comes back down and asks her for this dance. She smilies and says that she would be delighted. They start to waltz, and Lorelai asks if he knows what signifigance this song has, and he says yes, and then it starts to snow. Lorelai smilies and says. "This is perfect. Thank You." He says that she's welcome. Screen turns black and the credits come on.
