I mean they got endgame,so LP fans got their happy endings & they could care less about what 'new' brooke sometimes has to say about leyton :P
... but i do get their main point.

It has nothing to do with endgame for me. I'm obviously thrilled that LP got their happy ending. But that has nothing to do with how they should still be being written, and acknowledged today.

Yes, they've mentioned Lucas & Peyton's characters a few times. But not during the important circumstances that they SHOULD have been mentioned (Lydia's death? The rivercourt being torn down? Baby Lydia's birth? Jude & Davis' birth? etc.) Storylines like those are the perfect opportunity to (rightfully, and realistically so) give LP a little acknowledgement... but they passed every one of those opportunities up, even though it made NO sense to do so. Bottom line is that LP are still friends, and FAMILY to these people. So ofcourse we should be hearing from, or about them during milestone events of the show.

And then ofcourse the few times that LP have been mentioned, it's often been in a way to rewrite history, and diminish Breyton/Laley's friendships... all for the sake of propping Baley. Which you really don't even want to get me started on lol.

Buuuuut, Lucas is finally returning in a few episodes. So I guess his appearance, and what he has to say will be the true test of Mark's LP loyalty!

First of all. Whatever you anybody wants to say, this has absolutely NOTHING to do with endgame. I'm sorry, but I'm sick of hearing that! "At least Leyton got endgame, you should be thankful". Yep. That is a reason to be thankful and all of use are, but it's also a reason to be upset too. A couple that's IMPORTANT ENOUGH to get endgame SHOULD be important enough to get mentioned in significant circumstances while they're gone at least a few times. It just makes NO sense at all!

Leyton were there in the start and is imo the heart of the show. So them not getting mention is a HUGE slap in the face!!!!!!!! All their beauty. All they're meaning. All they're passion just not even acknowledge anymore? It's sad to me. So just because LP got endgame, we can't get upset or complain that this wonderful couple that we've followed for 6 years seems to have been forgotten? I just don't and can't see it that way. </3

I just hope that when Lucas comes back that some of LP's greatness will be mentioned at least once<3

It's realistic though, a lot of times that's what happens when people move away. You lose touch and you mention them less & less as time goes on. Luke may still talk to Haley [for the sake of the episode Chad is coming back for], but it doesn't look like Peyton & Brooke talk at all anymore.

I think maybe they are treated kind of crappy, but more so Peyton is treated more crappy these days as just an individual character.

I think it sucks that they are rarely mentioned, that history seems to be re-written, especially when it comes to Peyton/Haley/Brooke...

But if I'm being completely honest, this is how BL'ers have been feeling since at least S6 =/ I know some of you don't agree or don't understand, but ever since they brought Julian on, a lot of BL'ers have just felt like it was one slap in the face after another.

I don't think not mentioning Leyton is the same thing as treating Leyton poorly. The writers need to further current story lines, so they shouldn't dwell on past ones (which is the way I feel about mentioning any past relationships or characters on the show). And while as a couple they aren't mentioned too often, Lucas's character gets mentioned pretty frequently for a character that hasn't been on the show in 3 seasons.

I think what's insulting to Leyton is more about Brulian scenes seeming to replicate certain Leyton scenes. I think that's insulting.
