When the news first broke that One Direction\'s Liam Payne had cut his hair, our initial thoughts were: 1. what inspired it? and 2. will we ever get to touch it?  

Seeing as the second thought is highly unlikely to ever materialise, we\'ve decided to try and analyse the first one instead. Here are our theories on what prompted Liam to shave his mane off:

1. He\'s eager to feel the cool London breeze on his scalp.

2. He couldn\'t find his styling gel one day and then realised what he had to.

3. He lost a bet and now has to get a tattoo of One Direction\'s faces on the back of his head.
