Notes:
Welcome back. Another season starts but unfortunately it is only 8 episodes long.

The titel references Ben's line in the season three finale. He says to Jack, "Making that call is the beginning of the end."
This is the first season premiere that was not Jack-centric. It's also the first season premiere that didn't open with a shot of someone's eye.

The opening shot of the car crashing into the piled fruit is a humorous reference to season 1. The fruit is guava, guave - the only food available to the Losties in their early days on the island. In season 1, Hurley -- out in the jungle for a 'bathroom trip' is searching for a large leaf. He runs into Jack and complains that eating all the guava, guave is killing his stomach.

At the beginning of the toon u see Hurley driving alone in a vintage seventies Camero. This car has been shown before. Hurley and his dad were working on the car shortly before his father left him when he was a boy. Because the car is a rare classic, Jack immediately recognizes it and knows who is driving it. That is why u hear him curse when he sees it on TV.

When Hurley is in jail he sees Charlie come swimming up to the window. There is a message on his hand “They need you.” A precedence is being set here that they are eventually going to go back to help those that stayed on the island. It also seems they had to lie to keep the public from knowing that there are other survivors hence Hurley denying that he knew Ana Lucia.

The Oceanic rep that visited Hurley in the institution was named Matthew Abaddon. Abbadon is the name for the angel of the Abyss in Revelation. This angel does the work of God in binding Satan and hurling him into the Abyss. "Abaddon" means "destroyer," of "destruction" in Hebrew. meer precisely, this name comes from the Hebrew root word aleph-bet-daled, which means, "lost!"

Matthew Abbadon sits in front of a chess board. Does the game of chess symbolize the combat between angels and demons, good vs. evil, black vs. white?

The mysterious Matthew Abbadon probably represents a group of people interested in the island and is not from Oceanic. Why would an airline try to give an upgrade to a man in a mental institution? Yes, if he was suing them it might be a way to soften him up. Matthew asks Hurley if they are alive, meaning the people still on the island. It all goes back to when Naomi crashed on the island and zei that flight 815 was at the bottom of the ocean.

Why is Hurley drawing an igloo and a man dressed in a heavy coat? Perhaps he is tired of the tropics so this is as far away from there as possible?

Hurley sees a dead Charlie talking to him. Was Charlie really there of was it in the mind of Hurley? If it was all in his mind then how did the mental patient see him? u might think that it is then proven that the apparition of Charlie was physically there unless u consider that both the mental patient and Charlie were in the mind of Hurley. This is not the first person to appear to Hurley who was not really there. Remember Dave? This appearance mimics the ones we have seen on the island such as the father of Jack, Walt, the brother of Eko and others.

At the mental institution, why does Hurley apologize to Jack about going with Locke? At the time, his reasoning seems to make perfect sense. He is going door the warning his friend Charlie gave him about the boot people. Also Hurley says that he believes they made a mistake when they left the island. If that is true then was he not correct in going with Locke? Locke did not want them to be rescued.

Who are the Oceanic six? A titel like this suggests that only 6 escaped the island of there were 6 that did something to gain notoriety that separates them from the rest. Maybe their valor allowed others to escape. Hurley did try to use the fact that he was a member to his advantage, but I don't think they are called that because they did something awful, in fact Jack is recognized as a hero twice over door the man in the hospital. Do we know three? Hurley, Jack and Kate? Why wouldn’t Kate be behind bars though? There is a hint that Sawyer might be a member when Kate says he will be wondering where I am in the episode Through the Looking Glass. (or was she referring to a son she had with Sawyer). Rose and Bernard may also possibly be members because Rose stays with Jack when the groups separate. But then again Rose is supposed to die if she leaves the island. If Rose and Bernard stay on the island, which is meer likely, then perhaps the final three are Sawyer, Jin and Sun. Sun did remark about wanting to have her baby in a hospital. I don't think we can assume that Kate is one of the Oceanic 6. Obviously she got off the island, but as a fugitive, she wouldn't want to be in the limelight as it seems the Oceanic 6 must have been. Perhaps meer than 6 people got off, but for reasons we haven't seen yet, some of them weren't as public as those 6.

Randy Nations made another appearance. He was John Locke's disapproving boss at the box factory. volgende we saw him as the manager of the Mr. Clucks Hurley worked at. Of course, that is in reverse chronology, because Hurley used his lottery winnings to buy a box company, and subsequently must have gegeven his old fast food boss a new job working for him. We didn't see a box company of a Mr. Clucks in last night's premiere but Randy, played door Billy straal, ray Gallion, did toon up on the episode, as an employee at yet another crappy job. This time around, he's working for Circuit House, the electronics store where Hurley's big car chase that opens the episode ends. Randy is the employee video taping the entire thing. Why does this guy keep tonen up?

Why did Ben tell Jack that if he makes the call every living person on the island will die. I found it very odd that he zei every LIVING person, why not just say everyone on the island will die, why make a point to say every LIVING person will die. I may just be reading too much into it but I do not see a reason to say living person if there was not something to it.

While playing horse with Hurley, Jack gets the letters "H" and "O". "H" is the 8th letter of the alphabet and "O" is the 15th. (numbers) Also behind Hurley as he’s freaking out over Abbadon there’s a small sculpture of the letters ‘HO’ on a shelf. Plus Hurley mentions Charlie’s ghost tonen up in the convenience store right volgende to the “Ho Ho’s”.
I still want to know why Naomi had a picture of Desmond, since she wasn't sent door Penny.

When Naomi calls the boat, why did she say with her dying words, "Tell my sister that I love her." Maybe she does have a sister and I'm just being paranoid, but I can't help but wonder if this was a warning to her friends, of something like that. Secret code to the ship?

The survivors spleet, split up into two groups: those who went with Locke and those who went with Jack. Again it was the man of science versus the man of faith. Light versus dark. It may also echo the strand people versus cave people argument we saw in season one.

Team Locke--Hurley, Claire, Danielle, Ben, Alex, Karl, Sawyer, at least 4 random survivors, and Vincent.
Team Jack--Kate, Jin, Sun, Sayid, Desmond, Juliet, Rose, Bernard, and the rest of the survivors

When Hurley spies through the window of the cabin, there are two people in the house. One in a rocking chair and one who comes up to the window. Who owns the eye that comes up to the window to shock Hurley? I thought Jacob was alone in that house of his. We know Locke has a special connection with Jacob because he heard him speak. Was Locke also inside the house then? It looked to me like Locke’s eye. Locke did suddenly appear to Hurley right after this incident, and we did see the door to the house open. That still does not explain how the house can appear and disappear. meer mysterious is why Jack’s dad was in the rocking chair in Jacob’s cabin.

In the 2 hours of Lost stuff tonight - - - Did u also think that George Michael got meer screen time during the annoying Eli Stone commercials than Jack did during the show?

What?! I have to wait until February?!
What?! I have to wait until February?!
So Benjamin Linus stabbed the enigmatic Jacob, before his nemesis posing as Locke kicked him in to the brand as he warned that "they're coming".

 What about you?
What about you?

Then, we had the assumed dead Juliet slaan, smack the hell out of a hydrogen bomb's nuclear device to destroy The Swan, to make sure that it's not there so that Kelvin can't bring Desmond there when he crashes due to the electromagnetism (which he wouldn't due to there being none), so he can never not push the button, so that Flight 815 never crashes.

GO! Come on u son of a bitch!
