1# Out of the Survivors who went with John , only Claire , Sawyer , and Lock survived the mercenaries (everyone else was killed door the mercenaries of the smoke monster) .

3# The "main" cast members (from the strand , not the tail section) death toll includes : Jin , Michael , Shannon , Charlie , and Boone .
4# Side characters who died (not the tail section because they weren't from the original 42) where :
Nikki , Paulo , and the high school teacher that got blown up Leslie Arzt .
The season finally : John Lock in the coffin !

So do the math , lets say 10 people went with Lock and only 3 lived (Kate was on the strand at the time and Ben doesnt count) . That's 7 Dead !
The survivors who where sent to the boot , lets say 15 died ....that's 23 so far !
The cast members , that's 9 (including Lock) .... that's 32 out of 42 leaving 10 alive .

Now , Lets have some fun here .... the living survivors from the strand include : Claire (her baby doesnt count because he wasn't counted as one of the original 42) , Sawyer , Sun , Sayid , Kate , Jack , Hurley , Walt , and Rose (not her husband because he was in the tail) .
That's only 9 living characters from the original 42 still being alive and 5 of them are off the island as the Oceanic 6 (including Claires baby) .
Now at the end of the season finally , there where a lot of people on the strand waiting to be saved , including : Julite (from the others), Sawyer , Rose , Bernard (from the tail) , Daniel Faraday (from the boat) with a vlot filled with survivors , Miles Straume (from the boat) ,and charlotte Lewis (from the boat) .
The vraag is , do the writers even think about continuity ????????
