Yes, there was already a movie with that name: ((Halloween 2 1981)), but is supposed to be the continuation of the last remake of Rob Zombie Is not a remake of Halloween 2... Halloween 2 1981: original H2 2009 ((Rob Zombies version)): continuation of Rob Zombies Halloween 2007 I hope you've understood it, because even I don't understand what I wrote xD... Yes,there is a Halloween II,which is door John Carpenter.....and this new one,H2:Halloween II,is door Rob Zombie. This one door Zombie is NOT a remake however,but his own take on the psychopathic serial stalker/murderer - Michael Myers. If you've ever seen Rob Zombie's version of Halloween,you'll see that he kind of mimicked John Carpenter's 1978 version in some ways. But like I said,Zombie didnt mimic the original version of Halloween II in this one. Believe me,you wont be disappointed if u watch it :). Hope this answer helps!

noo, I'm sorry but Halloween 2 ((1981)) was directed door Rick Rosenthal not John Carpenter... and H2 ((2009)) it is a remake, is the continuation of the first part ((halloween 1, 2007))
Basically it is a bastardized abomination of a film that shud never have been made along with its crappy 2007 remake both of which shud b forgotten about completely :D.Curse u Rob Zombie!!!Leave the originals and the Bloody amazing muziek ALONE!! Other than that this Halloween 2 is jus a continuation of the remake of the original Halloween, with a bad mask an variation of the theme muziek an other stupid differences..............sorry Halloween is the reason y i love Horror films so i'm a bit attached t the originals lol
