When tragedy strikes, how a family deals with the ordeal can make of break them forever.

The new indie film “Bring Me An Avocado” from writer/director Maria Mealla, explores how a family and close vrienden deal with a mugging gone wrong that leaves a young mother in a coma.

It recently premiered at Cinequest, tying for the ‘Audience Award’ and earning praise for the performances. One of the stand-outs in the film is actress Molly Ratermann, who brought authenticity as the grieving but well intentioned sister who steps in to give the children a sense of normalcy.

Molly has been rising up the indie film ranks earning awards for both her acting and filmmaking talents. Over the last few years, she’s nabbed ‘Best Actress’ awards at the LA Film Awards, Studio City Int. Film Festival, International Independent Film Festival, Indiefest, and the Actors Awards. She created and starred-in two notable indie shorts: the mental health film “Suicide,” which earned 20 awards and screened at 25 international festivals; and the complex relationship drama “Lizze Lost.”

In between festivals, Molly Ratermann found some time to answer a few questions:

Tell us about your role in “Bring Me An Avocado.”

MOLLY: I play Aunt Greece, who also happens to be a bit “greasy” herself. While my sister is in a coma, I try to fill her role in the family, taking care of her kids and being a bit overly intrusive. It was fun to play this character who is totally not put together with her own life, but acts like she can help everyone else be put together.

What would u consider Greece’s ‘best’ quality? And her ‘worst’?

MOLLY: When Greece really cares about someone, like she does with her sister and nieces, her loyalty and love for them really shines. She’s got a big hart-, hart for family, no matter what. Her worst, for me, was her lack of self care and cleanliness but don’t worry, I didn’t go method about it, I still showered.

Any interesting stories from the set u can share with us?

MOLLY: This was such a fun team to work with and for a drama, we had way too much fun making this film. Between pranking each other with fake pinkies and getting a security guard to strip at our inpakken, wrap party, we have a lot of fun stories to share, but maybe those are better left up to the imagination.

What’s the biggest lesson u learned from working on this project?

MOLLY: As silly as it sounds, but my biggest lesson was learning that I hate having (fake) greasy hair meer than I’d have ever thought. I also learned that flour can fix greasy hair in an instant… and then make u look like u have major dandruff.

Do u have any other projects in the works?

MOLLY: At the moment, only a few on the acting front. I have a few features of my own that are deep in development. I’ll be in those, but right now, getting them off the ground is my main focus unless another great project like this one comes along.

And, now just for fun:

Who’s your favoriete actor/actress?

MOLLY: Charlie Chaplin was my original favoriete and to save myself from trying to decide on a modern dag favorite, I’m going to stick with him. He’ll always be a timeless legend in the world.

What role from the past do u wish u could have played?
MOLLY: This film is not in the past, and as weird as it sounds, I would have loved to play Elton John in the new movie “Rocketman.”

Favorite movie of TV toon from your childhood.
MOLLY: I was a big “Forrest Gump” and “Austin Powers” fan growing up. I even threw an Austin Powers themed birthday party in 3rd grade and none of the parents would let their kids go because they thought it wasn’t appropriate.

Tell us one thing that would surprise our readers to learn about you.
MOLLY: Oh boy, social media lets everyone know everything about you, this is hard. I’m afraid of vis and boats, but I don’t think many would believe that because somehow I always end up on a boot of snorkeling with vis despite my mind telling me not to.

How can fans keep up with you?
MOLLY: u can find me on twitter @mollykinsale link and Instagram @mollykinsale37 link. Hope to connect with u all there.

There are a lot of good actors that have gotten the attention, respect, and awards that they deserve, but there are some great actors that aren't the household names they should be. These are the top, boven 10 most underrated actors in the world. This lijst is for both live action and voice actors.

10. John DiMaggio

Most people don't know who John DiMaggio is even though he's pretty much been in every populair animated toon from recent years. His best roles include Aquaman in Batman: The Brave and the Bold and the Joker in Batman: Under the Red Hood. His most well known roles are Bender in Futurama...

Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice is a 2016 DC film that stars DC's 2 most populair super heroes: Batman and Superman. Several critics thought that the film is bad. This review is about why I think that the film is really good. Of course u don't have to like the film if u don't want to. However I think that the film is really underrated.

The Film's Plot

Batman and Superman may both be super heroes, but they sure don't get along. Superman has his doubts about Batman while Batman hates Superman and plans to get rid of him. The rivalry is increased door Lex Luthor who wants Batman to get rid...

Dudley Do-Right is a 1999 comedy film that's based on a segment from The Rocky and Bullwinkle Show.

Plot

Dudley Do-Right's rival, Snidely K. Whiplash, becomes in charge of Semi Happy Valley. Dudley tries to save his city and impress Nell Fenwick. However Dudley gets fired so he gets mentored door a prospector named Kim J. Darling.

Dudley Do-Right got mocked for not being that entertaining, but I disagree with that. This film is tons of fun with several clever and hilarious scenes. The plot is interesting from beginning to end. This film succeeds at having a interesting plot and having great comedy....

Am I excited about the 2017 My Little pony film? Well I'm nervouscited for the upcoming My Little pony film.

A major problem I have with the upcoming film is that it's not a Equestria Girls film. Because of that I'm worried that Twilight sparkle's vrienden will be protagonists. I think that Twilight's vrienden are weak protagonists, but decent supporting characters. I'm worried about Sunset Shimmer not being in the film. How can u have a good My Little pony film without Sunset? I'm hoping that Celestia, Luna, the cutie mark crusaders, and Starlight Glimmer don't appear in the film. I hope that...

Movie reviews generally aren't my thing, and I don't spend a lot of time reading them let alone writing them, but Snowpiercer was one of the best films I've seen in years. Here's the synopsis:

In this sci-fi epic from director Bong Joon Ho, a failed global-warming experiment kills off most life on the planet. The final survivors board the SNOWPIERCER, a train that travels around the globe via a perpetual-motion engine. When cryptic messages incite the passengers to revolt, the train thrusts full-throttle towards disaster.(TWC-Radius)

It sounds like a run-of-the-mill dystopian thriller. It sounds...

Actor Michael Cotter is asking lots of vragen in Paul Thomas Anderson’s new film “Inherent Vice."

Michael teams up with Reese Witherspoon to interrogate detective Larry "Doc" Sportello, played door Joaquin Phoenix. Set in Los Angeles in the 1970’s, the film follows the drug-tripping detective as he investigates a disappearance.

Fans will remember Michael for his role opposite Brandon Routh and Sam Huntington in the cult indie-hit “DYLAN DOG: Dead of Night.” He’s also appeared on several televisie shows including recurring roles on “Scrubs”, “Help Me Help You” and “Shark.”...
