It HAS to be letters. Send a LOT of letters. Send a letter, tell your vrienden to send letters, tell them to tell their vrienden to send letters, this requires a mass movement if anything's going to change and idly complaining about it fixes nothing.

Most importantly be respectful. Do not send them swill of poison, it only sends a bad image. Tell them this means a lot to you. Tell them u adore the MLP intellectual property, and tell them, urge to them, impress upon them the notion that this project is not, and cannot possibly be, a threat to their ownership of that intellectual property.
