Me: Ms. Marvel, aka Carol Danvers, is one of the must important super-heroines in Marvel history. She was gegeven powers because she looked up to Captain Mar-Vell, and wanted to be equal with him

Sweetie Belle: Why did she want to be equal and not superior?

Me: Well, Ms. Marvel was created during the 60's, when second-wave feminism was a big thing.

Sweetie Belle: That's interesting.

Me: However, people saw her as a weak hero, as she only fought street-level thugs instead of powerful villains. Marvel had decided to change this, starting in Ms. Marvel #20*.

Sweetie Belle: I'll admit it, she sounds AWESOME!

Me: *Nods* However, they had her kom bij the Avengers in a pretty controversial issue...

Sweetie Belle: Well what happened?
