Before taking their OTRA tour to the stage in Newcastle, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan sat down for a few press chats the other day, and although Nialler thought it would just be a day like any other, it was left to Louis to fill him in on some truly mind-blowing info. 

Yes, we\'re talking CHONCE GATE, which it would seem that Niall had absolutely no idea was even a thing – until Louis gently broke the news that we\'ve all been laughing at him for ages. 

If you\'ve got no idea what we\'re going on about, fans are bloody obsessed with the way Niall sings his \'we took a chance\' lyric during \'18\', because every single time it comes out in this really weird way that sounds like \'chonce\'. Yep, that\'s it. 

In a recent interview with Nouis, the interviewer accidentally caused a slightly awkward moment by assuming that Niall would know what she was on about when mentioning \'chonce\', but actually, he had absolutely no idea it was even a thing.

Breaking the news delicately, Louis explains: "I\'ve seen it, I just saw at once show they all held up [signs]. I think it\'s just how you pronounce \'chance\', isn\'t it?" 

And with mind absolutely blown, Niall replies: "Is that what it means? I did wonder what it was. I\'m really posh now, I live in London so I\'ve picked up a posh accent."

In other joyful Nouis based news, the boys also gave their best Geordie impressions a go (when in Rome and all that), an\' it\'s fair tah she they\'re canny good an\' that pet, haway the lads. 

Actually, that might be a little bit of an exaggeration, seeing as Nialler\'s accent is top notch for about three words and then goes slightly Welsh, while Louis doesn\'t even bother giving it a go. 

Well, he says \'Haway man\' but it\'s still very much in those dulcet Doncaster tones so it doesn\'t really count. Check out their best efforts to join Geordie Shore below:​
