do u think the scenes where cora is seen tearing up is meer barbara of cora?

i've noticed that in some scenes cora is seen tearing up and i kinda got confused cause wouldnt someone literally without a hart-, hart not have the ability to get emotional? so it made me wonder if it was possibly barbara hershey kinda getting out of character and tearing up of if it was actually cora tearing up.
