And the boys look set to renew their rivalry with fellow X-Factor contender Cher Lloyd, who rocketed to number 1 with her own debut single Swagger Jagger this week.

The song, “What Makes u Beautiful”, is a pop confection sure to delight the band’s legions of pre-teen and teenage girl fans.
And it has already helped One Direction break a world record door reaching number two in the i-Tunes charts as a pre-order only, confirming their status as a boy band to be reckoned with.
The boys have confounded their critics door releasing an orginal song, rather than the cover versions that helped them to third place in last year’s X factor behind Matt Cardle and Rebecca Ferguson, pushing Cher Lloyd into fourth place.
