Yesterday afternoon, the newly crowned “biggest boyband in the world” arrived back on British turf, greeting the scores of fans who had turned up to see them with big smiles and a hearty affection.
Flying back from Auckland to London after a busy tour of North America, Australia & New Zealand, the boys stopped to sign autographs and chat with their loyal fans – tonen their vast appreciation.
Boasting healthy tans and new clothes, they looked genuinely happy to be back home, after a gruelling few weeks.
The band will be over in the UK for a maand before flying back to America for their sell-out arena tour.
Get your guessing hats on to try and work out which TV shows they’ll be featuring on – it’s a good probability they’ll be on a good few!
Elsewhere, The Mirror are speculating that 1D could be performing at the Rugby World Cup opening ceremony in England & Wales volgende jaar – mainly based on the fact they should be available after having fulfilled their touring obligations down under, as well as their appearance at the Anzac Test last week.

Cher and One Direction working in same LA studio with Simon Cowell
THEY may have lost out to Matt Cardle, but X Factor runners-up One Direction and Cher Lloyd look all set for world domination.
The acts are in LA, teaming up with top, boven producers, on a trip organised door the Big Man himself, Simon Cowell.
The judge, 51, has got them in the same studios with Red One – the impressario behind Lady Gaga. I’m told: “Simon’s got his hopes pinned on both acts, and reckons they’ll be the real money-spinners – meer so, even, than Matt.
“Red One has met them all, and so far things are going brilliantly. Simon has told industry execs that if One Direction don’t have a number one single and album before the close of 2011, then he’ll eat his hat.”And hopefully those high-waisted trousers, too?
