Bauer’s digital station The Hits Radio is being taken over door X Factor boyband One Direction this coming bank holiday weekend.

Each of the five members of the group will present their own hour-long slot on the station and the band will also be interviewed door Hits presenter Chris Younie.

Louis, Liam, Niall, Zayn and Harry shot to fame after finishing third on last year’s X Factor and have signed a £2m record deal with Simon Cowell.

Nicole Scherzinger's One Direction Crush?

The band reckon Nic has a soft spot for one boy in particular.

According to the One Direction lads, Louis is only in the band because Nicole Scherzinger took a liking to him.

Nicole played a part in putting the band together last jaar from a bunch of the rejected X Factor solo acts, but Niall says Louis was her favourite.

"I saw her," Niall explained to the Daily Mirror.

"She kept saying, 'The one in the red hat,' when they were choosing us for the band.

"She liked you," he told Louis.

Nicole has previously claimed credit for helping to create One Direction during her time as a guest judge on the show.

"I’m not taking credit for the whole One Direction thing," Nicole told Capital.

"But hey, u know, hands in the air, right? I was there, I was the voice of guidance!"

One Direction's debut single 'What Makes u Beautiful' is out on Sunday 11th September.

We were all in fits of laughter.

We all walked to the airport in couples, but all walked together if u get me.
We all ran up to the things that moves around and collected our lugage.
I spotted my bright roze suitcase straight away.
But i had to wait a while to find my dull pull along bag.
Everyone had their lugage exept Niall.

"Where your suitcases then Niall" i asked.
"They are coming now i can see them" Niall smiled.
As they came past us Niall lifted them off the thing that moved and we all followed the crowd to the buses.

One Direction melted the hearts of some of their young female fans this week, when they made a bit of time after a sjees, gig for a quick chat and some autographs.

Caitlin Liddell (13), Bryony Devlin (16) and Shannon Smith (13) waited for hours in the cold last Monday, for the chance to chat to meet Louis Tomlinson, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Zayn Malik and Liam Payne as they performed in Falkirk’s City nightclub.

They weren’t allowed into the club as they were under-age, so the teens waited outside, with the hope of catching a glimpse of the boyband.

The Teen Magazine said: "Everyone saw the dollar signs in Simon Cowell's eyes when he first watched One Direction perform at Judge's Houses, and we know exactly why. We thought no-one could love X Factor 2010's hot new boyband One Direction meer than we do.

But winner Matt Cardle made it pretty clear to us today that he is just as HUGE a fan of theirs.
